Mark Zelkovic Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Zelkovic did my surgery on 12/18 and I have been pleased with him so far. He did have a lot of expectations but I think that is a good thing when you are deciding if you want to cut out part of your body in order to lose weight. I was somewhat annoyed by the expectations but looking back, almost every part of my body has been checked (how often do you get a comprehensive eval like that) and it is nice to see that other than the obesity, I am healthy. As for his bedside manner, I never had any problem with him. He was very good when I was deciding which procedure to have and did not "push" one over the other just kept providing me with the facts. I did not have any problems with his nurse either and the staff were all very helpful. The nutritionist is a bit "dry" but she knows what she is doing and holds you accountable. I have heard that if you do not follow the expectations that he can refuse to continue to treat you but I would welcome that, how are you going to be ready for a lifestyle change if you can't follow six months of some restrictions. I did not meet the goal they set for my weight loss prior to surgery but as long as I was losing I was praised along the way.

mark did my surgery in december 2010. i loved this dr, couuldnt have asked for a better surgen. showed compassion and care threw ever step. i would highly recomend him for any over weight person struggeling to lose weight and seriously trying.
