Very concerned for her patients, takes time with you and explains everything. You can tell she likes what she is doing and enjoys her patients. She is very honest and open in explaining the risks.
The office nurse leaves something to be desired and sometimes is difficult to get return calls from her. If you have that problem, be sure to let Dr. Carter know and she is working on that problem.

I love Dr. Carter. She has always been very personal with me and made me feel at ease about everything. She does get very emotional. I also love the office staff. They have a great sense of humor, but will also do the work they need to do without hesitation. They have always been helpful. Any questions I've had have been taken seriously and answered quickly.

Dr. Carter has always been warm, friendly, caring and up front with me. My first impression of her is the same today as it was 5 months ago. He staff is helpful and very efficient, but very very busy. Dr. Carter's after care has been wonderful. I was plagued by almost constant nausea the first month and a half after surgery and she was there for me, as well as her staff, all the way. She sees me once a month now and her program for after care is good. I would rate Dr. Carter as one of the best. Her surgical skill is wonderful and her bedside manner is absolutely wonderful. I have had absolutely no problems with Dr. Carter or her staff. I'm sorry if this seems "suspect" because I have nothing negative to say, but I never had an unpleasant experience with this Doctor.

She is still the very "best" in all aspects. The same todays as she was a year ago!!! Again, I'm sorry if this seems "suspect" but there is absoutely nothing negative to say.l

I thought she was way too young to do this procedure.

She was sincere in wanting me to be successful with my weight loss surgery.

Her staff was so excited for me.

I'm still bothered by her age.

She has only performed 300 surgeries.

Dr. Carter is the best. She is very sensitive, caring, and has a wonderful bedside manner. Her work is exceptional. My scar looks beautiful! And she has always been available to help with whatever I needed. Her staff is excellent and very helpful with anything I have thrown at them. They are always smiling, friendly and ready to go that extra mile. I would (and do) recommend Dr. Carter to everyone even thinking about this surgery. She is the best!!!!

Dr. Carter is the most personable surgeon I've ever met. She is very friendly and knowledgable. Don't be afraid to ask her questions, she knows the answers. I had a great experience and my surgery went very well. I had to get a charge nurse on one shift at Edmond Hospital because my nurse was from a staffing service and he just disappeared when my IV blew. The hospital and the charge nurse were very concerned about the issue and took great care of me. I would recommend Dr. Carter to anyone considering RNY in the OKC area.

My experience with Dr. Carter was very positive. She is very genuine, caring, and concerned about the needs of her patients. She came in and spoke to me pre op, as I was being prepped for surgery to make sure that there were no last minute stresses or concerns that needed to be addressed. She really put my mind at ease. The office staff is shorthanded. They could use a few more bodies with the increased caseload, as it is hard to get a callback or get paperwork filled out timely. They seem overwhelmed. When I was released from the hospital, I was given a xeroxed packet of info concerning aftercare and diet. There isn't really a support group recommended by the staff itself. The risks of surgery were made very clear to me before I went in during an office visit. I would rate this doctor highly, in both surgical competence and bedside manner. Dr. Carter is truly wonderful.

She is the greatest person and surgeon I have ever met. I would have driven cross country to have Dr. Carter. Thank God I didn't have to she is right here in Oklahoma City. The staff was great to.
