This surgery saved my life. I no longer have health issues from before my surgery. I have learned to eat heathier and I care about my health and the way I look. It has been over a year since I had my surgery and I would do it again. Dr Zare is a very compassionate and caring physician. His response to phone calls is immediate. He treats you with the utmost of respect and I would recommend him to everyone looking for a physcican.

Dr. Zare was as real as they come. Very hospitable; yet very honest. From the first time I spoke with him in person, I felt very secure in his abilities. Well organized and thoughtful. He knew I was nervous, but he eased my mind by being there whenever I needed him to be.
I never got the feeling that I was just a paycheck or number to him. He treated me with respect and dignity every time.
His office staff is AWESOME!!! Ben, you are amazing. They really take their time to insure everything is correct the first time.
Dr. Zare makes sure that one knows that this is a life change vs a quick fix. He emphasizes the importance of aftercare and support groups.
I would recommend Dr. Zare to anyone needing WLS.
First let me say that Dr.Zare and his staff are great. Dr.Zare office staff will walk you thru the whole process. When I need to push up my appointments to meet my scheduled Ben was able to meet my needs. This was great since I had time constraints. Dr. Zare takes your well being in his hands. You have to start a liquid diet for at least a week If you have a high BMI like I did (55) he will have you get a IVC filter in place in case of blood clots. Also a sleep test done so if you have sleep apnea you can get a CPAP machine for when you our on your meds after surgery. Im 5 days post op and feeling good

it is hard to put in words the many ways my bariatric surgery has improved my life. I had my surgery 16 months ago. My primary doctor has eliminated or drastrically lowered the dosage of the majority of my medicines. The money I used to spend on medicine, I now spend on cute summer dresses. I noticed that more aand more people in my dousing complex were aout walkiing this summer. My walking buddy said it was because I had been inspiring more and more people to get out and walk. Before my surgery I had to use walking sticks just to walk around once around my complex. Now I walk twice a day at least 30 minutes each time and hike with myy grandsons for over 90 minutes with no problem. The manager in my complex asked me to teach water excercises in our pool. We now have about 8 ladies 3 times a week.
Dr Zare was the best! Ben, in his office made everything easy peasy. I called, I talked to the doc on the phone the same day. I made an appointment for the informational seminar, was there a couple hours, saw the doc, got lots of info, and a pre-surgery weight loss goal, left with my optifast shakes. I wanted to have surgery at the end of April because I had several obligations, traveling and things in the month of April. I got a phone call mid- April from Ben, who told me everything was approved and how 'bout May 2? I saw the doc one more time the week before my surgery, and then it was upon me. Surgery itself, of course I don't remember but Dr Zare was in to see me bright and early the next morning and told me everything went great. Hospital stay wassn't so bad, and the doc came by again the next morning and disconnected me from everything and said I was good to go, as soon as I tried the things on my bariatric lunch tray. I was on my way home by noon. Never once did I have to deal with/ fight with my insurance, Ben handled it all and it was so fast! I hear a LOT of horror stories and it sounds totally strange to me, after having such a good, easy experience myself. Dr Zare is very quiet and soft spoken but where he lacks in gregariousness, he makes up in excellence in what he does.

Dr. Zare and his assistant Ben have been great throughout the weight loss process. On several occasions, Dr. Zare has taken time out of his schedule to contact/see me to ask how things were proceeding. Ben has a friendly personality and is always there to answer any questions. I have always been a person that was fortunate to be in good health and always avoided doctors, but was always overweight. I was almost 11 lbs at birth. As I got older, my weight slowly increased, the pain in my legs and my knees increased year to year. Dr. Zare said my health was good, but because of my excessive weight, that within 2-5 years I would likely experience some significant health issues, such as diabiates, heart issues, etc. that ran in my family. I opted for the surgery and have lost 120 lbs in 8 months. Hoping to reach my goal of 200 lbs lost in 12 months. I have no regrets of having the surgery or selecting Dr. Zare as my doctor. He has been the best and I owe so much to him for his expertise and his attention to details. I do not crave food and it has been very easy for me to eat small portions, take my vitamins, and drink lots of water throughout the day. Thank you Dr. Zare and Ben!
