I was very concerned with my decision to get weight loss surgery until I actually met with DR. G. He answered all my questions with detail and seemed very interested in learning about my medical history. He described the procedure in a way that all my worries and fears went away and I felt completely comfortable with my decision to have the surgery.

The support meetings help and the information I requested for support after the surgery contain a lot of useful information as well as some physicians in the area to assist with pain or required exercises. Thank you DR. G. for all your help, I thought I would never be able to put off so much weight until I received my procedure.

Dr. G. Is a Surgeon with a Lap band Yes, But if you have complications don't expect much HELP, It won't happen. He will tell you HIS personal experience about the band, and not really listen when you tell him what problems your having. The office staff is nicer than they were in 2009, becasue it's changed since then, but in regards to "wait time" It's usually 1-3 hrs to be seen. He's always late even if your the 1st appointment of the day. Not allot of information is given Prior to actual band placement, and support/ Aftercare afterwards is pretty much non existent. Yes, they have meetings NOW, but didn't have regularly in 2009 Which is SAD becasue Support is 75% of having a Band. I'm a past patient and would advise anyone to seek treatment elsewhere.

He is wonderful! He has had a lap band and is patient with your questions. When I go to his office I feel I am heard by him and his staff. He is very knowledgeable and at my year anniversary I sheduled an appointment and he asked questions about my general health, emotions, food and exercise habits. I always feel comfortable with him. His office has support meetings monthly and they are informative. The only thing I would change is having the first support group leader back because the new one is his MA who has had a lapband for some years and she does fills at the time of the meetings so things sometimes get rushed. I wouldn't trade him as my doctor for the world.

I LIVE IN CANADA,SO I DIDN'T MEET MY SURGEON UNTIL THE DAY OF SURGERY. HE HAS A COMPANY REPRESENT HIM [belite} AND THEY TAKE CARE OF EXERYTHING PRIOR TO SURGERY.
BUT, THE DAY OF SURGERY DR GAZAYERLI CAME TO SEE ME. HE WAS SO SOFT SPOKEN, INFORMATIVE, AND MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE. HE ASKED ME MANY QUESTIONS, TOOK ALL MY HISTORY, WANTED TO KNOW IF I WAS AFRAID, AND MADE ME FEEL TOTALLY CALM.I HAVE NEVER MET A DOCTOR TO MAKE ME SO HAPPY ABOUT MY DECISION.
I WILL MEET HIM AGAIN NOV.19/10 WHEN I HAVE MY FIRST FILL.
I FORGOT TO TELL YOU MY SURGERY DATE WAS SEPT.29/10.
I WILL BE GLAD TO SEE HUM AGAIN. AND NO, I DID NOT HAVE A NEGATIVE COMMENT!!

Dr. Gazayerli was very warm and sincere. I like that he has had the surgery, too. He spoke to me like an intelligent adult, not patronizing. rnrnI have not had my adjustment yet, so I have not met the staff.rnrnHe was well recommended by the nursing team.rnrnI did not receive an aftercare plan by mail as he stated.

My first impression of Dr. G. was that he was a very nice man who truly wanted the best for each and every one of his patients. He still does. He even asks patients to be of one on one support to those who may need extra support. He offers a free monthly support group and he is banded himself.rnrnMy impression has changed for the better.rnrnFor the most part wonderful although there is one who tapdances on my last nerve but we all know that there is always one in the bunch so I do not let it bother me because I don't live with the person.rnrnThere is nothing that I do not like about Dr. G.rnrnFuture patients should know that they are in good hands, his bedside manner is great, and that you cannot find a better surgeon.rnrnHe strongly emphasizes aftercare and has a program in place for his patients free of charge.rnrnHe addressed the risks as minimal although possible and he gave his statistics of surgical complications which were very few and non-serious.rnrnOn a scale of 1-10 I would give Dr. G. a 10.rnrnBoth are great with Dr. G.

Dr. Gazayerli was the kindest most caring surgeon i have met! he answered all my questions (even the stupid one's) showed me photo's, gave me (and all his pt's) his personal cell phone number if you need him for anything! he is always available for his patients. his office staff is wonderful! he has started an after care program, nutritional counseling, support group meetings (required) and addresses any needs for his pt's. i highly recommend Dr g to anyone looking to have a highly skilled surgeon who cares for his pt's.

My first impression of Dr. Gazayerli was awesome he actually had the Lap Band done on himself. I do feel he should of been more informative. His office staff is nice. There really isn't many things about him that I don't like except there should of been more said about the lap band before you actually had it done to find out. I would rate him a great surgeon of this procedure overall. I feel his is both great in the bedside manner and surgical competence.
