Dr Snow is pretty comical. He came in just after my surgery and asked me if I started eating yet. He did a very good job on my Gastric Bypass surgery. I had to have my gallbladder out and he took care of that too. But all preliminary tests before the gallbladder came out pretaining to the Gastric surgery were great. He came highly reccommended to me by co-workers who had no trouble. I think people who have him need to know not to expect alot when it comes to bedside manner. He comes in, checks on you, prepares orders (if neccesary) and is gone. Not a whole lot of compassion. I would give Dr snow a very high rating because I believe he has a wealth of knowledge over his peers being that he has been doing this for so much longer. Mobile infirmary has a pretty good pre-surgery and post surgery program. I was well educated overall and very prepared after I left the hospital.

Upon my first consultation with Dr.Snow I was very nervous. As soon as I met him, my mind and racing heart were put to ease. He is such a down to earth and caring man. He answered every question with honesty and to the point, without misleading. The staff have been nice and helpful. They don't look down on you or make you feel uncomfortable. They make you feel normal. The only thing I didn't like is that you don't get to see him as often as I would like, except with the group meetings to ask questions. He explained every possible complication and what we could do to help prevent them, and the causes of each one. So far, I would recommend anyone to this office. I will update after my surgery.

10/4/04
I have just made my consult appointment with Dr. Snow. My appointment is Oct. 11,2004. I will let you know the rest on the 11th.

Dr. snow, and his staff is awesome, they are helpful, busy, concerned, and just great. I have nothing bad to say about any of them.

Dr.Snow has been doing this for a very long time, has operated on 20,000, give or take some, 2%, loss, which is nice.
he is honest, and straight forward when it comes to care, aftercare, risk of the surgery. it is very important that you follow every little detail that you docture tells you, because it could save your life, help you keep that nasty weight off, and better your health.

I rate Dr. Snow and his staff 100 plus. and his surgial compentence and bedside manner seems to be great. I would refer any one to him.

Very knowledgeable and skilled with a good bed-side manner.

Impression remained true

very thorough and professional

He and his colleagues have so many clients that after a while you sometimes feel like just another number. But he has been doing the surgery for over 20 years.
He puts alot of stress on aftercare and eating.
no

He points out that there are always risks with any surgery.
Great

both are great

My first impression of Dr Snow is that he was compassionate. He is very invovled with your outcome. He gave me time, when I had my appointment with him. He was very thorough. He has a good bedside manner. He's a joker, which helps. He's also got a lot of spunk. Which is always great to have because he'll keep ya on your toes. The office staff was great for the most part. I spoke with Carol on the day of my appt, and signed what she said I needed to sign. I spoke with Mary who deals with the insurance the day after my appt, said that she had everything she needed. Sent all my stuff to insurance that day. This office is able to get precertication online. There was nothing that I didn't like at this point in time. They have what's called a BEGIN program which you'll need to do before surgery. I think it's an excellent structured program for this type of surgery. He discussed every aspect that could come up with about complications that should arise from the surgery and what he does to try and not let that happen. I would rate him a 10. I believe surgical competence is more important, and luckily with Dr. Snow you get both. Keep in mind that every one is different, and what one personality you might like might not be the same for others. But this is my honest opinion, in how I felt about this doctor and this office.

He was not what I expected, but looked"experienced".

The more he taled and informed me of his credentials, the more I liked him.

The staff was/is very professional.

The amount of personal time he was able to give.

He emphasize after care alot. He said it was a tool...the working of it was up to me.

Yes.
Yes, he did address the surgical risks for both procedures.
So far, I would rate him professional, respectfully honest.

Both of course.

I liked Dr. Snow when I first met him he seemed honest and completely competent and he answered all of my questions truthfully he did not try to placate(sugar coat) his answers to me he was very truthful. His office staff is very competent nothing over the top or anything like that I guess they were just like any normal doctor's office staff. The one thing I did not like was the fact that I didn't get to see him the morning of surgery he was running behind and I was already in the Operating Room on the table when he came in and I didn't see him during my hospital stay (he wasn't on duty) and I did not see him for my follow up visit I saw his P.A..I was in the OR for only an hour so I would say his surgical skills are great. Overall I would say he is a very competent surgeon and that is all I can judge him on since I haven't actually seen him since before my surgery.

My first impression was he was a straight forward man right to the point, but also had a sense of humor at the same time. The staff had alot of knowledge to me, anything I asked they were right on it. They didn't have to ask anyone else, I was always treated with respect. Honestly I can't say anything so far that I don't like about Dr. Snow and his staff. Dr. Snow talks about aftercare alot- he gives you a handout that states to drink your water, drink your water several several times in the handout, he believes IF you do what he tells you to, you shouldn't have any trouble, unless it is other medical issues. Dr. Snow lets you know up front the risks and he doesn't hold anything back, Like i said before he is a straight forward man and that is what I like. He doesn't sugarcoat anything. I would rate him right now a 9 on a 10 scale. surgical competence and bedside manner are two important things to me in this surgery. We have been poked at, made fun of and it is time someone treats us with the upmost respect that we deserve. Dr. Snow has performed this surgery for uptennn years and I believe the lord is in Dr. Snows hands. I trust this man 100%.

Meet Dr. Snow on March 22, 2004, this was a group meeting. He was very nice, funny and very striaght forward with everything. I was really impressed with him. Dr. Snow's staff was great also. And very helpful. Like everyone that is thinking about having WLS you are nervous, but after meeting with him I am at peace with all of this.
