Steve Weinstein Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS
I loved Dr. Weinstein when I first met him.
No my impression did not change over time.
The office staff is very nice and supportive
I did not like that I had to wait so long for an appointment. That he's a wonderful doctor and I would recommend him to anyone. He emphazied greatly on aftercare and I hardly see him because he is so busy. My doctor had steps to go by for aftercare. He addressed every risk there was, but I knew about the risks before I went to him. I would give hima a 10. Both the surgical competence and bedside manner were great.
Dr. Weinstein was very nice from the get go.He made me feel very good about myself. My impression has never changed.
Dr. W's office staff is very nice and helpful.
I can't say that there is anything that I don't like about him.
That he is a really good doctor and I reccommend him to anyone wanting to do this surgery.
Very much so, they have a really good after care program; dietticians that talk to you that make sure you are on track.
The staff and Doctor had me read a booklet that they give you about weight loss surgery the pros and cons. Then before you can have your surgery you have to take a test. Whatever you miss he will go over it with you.
I rate Dr. Weinstein a 10!!!!!
Both are really important
Oh my gosh, where do I start. Dr. Weinstein to me is an angel in disguise. He made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my questions. He helped me over come the fears and worries that I have. God has truly given this man a gift. I really believe that he is Gods little helper for us obese people. With God in my heart and Dr. Weinstein as my surgeon, I know that I will be fine.
I met with Dr. Weinstein on July 29 for the first time. I found him to be very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. After listening to my story and why I had come to see him he led me through the history of how gastric bypass came to be. He also went over what he expects me to lose after the surgery. I'm in the process of getting my records sent to the office so my letter can be sent to the insurance company. Keep your fingers crossed!!
Sorry I have not updated in so long, but Ihave been busy. I had my first visit with Dr. Weinstein 11/18/03.I really like him, he is very upfront and really good about listening and anwering my questions. I have sent all my info to the Dr.'s office ,I hope to find out if my letter has been sent to my insuer tomorrow. I pray it has. I heard that BCBS is not approving anymore of these surgeries after the first of the year. If anyone knows anything about that PLEEEEEASE let me know. I am going to push and try to get approved before the first of the yesr just in case. I also was very impressed with Dr. Weinstein's staff , they were great and so helpful. Please keep me in your prayers
First Impression: very warm and friendly; eagar to help me
Office Staff: everyone was fairly nice and helpful, although not that nice on the phone
There was not really anything I did not like about him
Emphasized their aftercare program called "BEGIN" briefly
He addressed the risks of surgery, but also the ones of obesity
Overall, I think he is a wonderful doctor and I will trust him with my life
Dr Weinstein displayed both surgical competence and a great bedside manner. I wouldn't go to a doctor who didn't have both.
First impressions are physical, naturally and being all honest here, my first impression was my, what a little man. He was really nice, despite the fact he was the first physician in my entire life to call me "morbidly obese." He was completely optimistic about me, as a candidate for WLS. You can tell he likes his job. I did laugh out loud when he said I should weigh 133 pounds.....Everything else he told me I had learned on this great website. When I brought my husband in to meet him next visit, he gave my husband the nearly exact same chat about the surgery. It felt salesmanish. Doc dosen't read these sites. I hope to feel more from him next time.
