My experience thus far has been wonderful. Dr. Williams was friendly and open to listening to me from the very first. He had no problems standing there and talking to me for twenty minutes when I had questions post-op and did not seem to rush any time I saw him.
The least thing I liked about Dr. Williams is the amount of DS procedures he had done personally.
His staff was wonderful, and the only thing I had an issue with was while in the hospital, it was a little hard to get someone's attention on the day shift. However, there were a ton of people on the ward and the staff was very very busy. When they were with me, they didn't seem rushed, and seemed to devote my time to me and not to worrying about someone else.
The doctor and his staff emphasize after care strongly. They want to make sure I get the right amounts of the right liquids and that I am being safe.
Over all, I would say Dr. Williams' beside manner was wonderful, I'm sure his surgical competence is stellar as I am alive and kicking :)

When I first met Dr. Williams, I was really impressed with the way he would look me in the eye. He did not talk over my head, and was really happy with how much I knew about the procedure and made sure I had no misconceptions.
The office staff is stellar, I have never had any issue with any of them over the two years I have worked on getting my procedure.
There is a structured aftercare program that the doctor does emphasize.
Over all, so far, I rate Dr. Williams at a 10 of 10.
Personally, I had no bad instances with the office, though their website was a tad confusing at one point. I have yet to spend much time with the doctor himself so, only good things to report. Short wait time in the waiting room in their office, etc.

Dr. Williams came recommended to me by one of the nurses I went to nursing school with. (She works for him and another bariatric surgeon) I'm not sure if it's because I'm a nurse, or he's just naturally friendly, but he talked to me like a colleague, which I appreciated. So far, he comes highly recommended and has a great bedside manner. Office staff was VERY friendly.

My first impression of Dr. Williams was, to be perfectly honest, a bit of intimidation. I saw him speak at the seminar I attended but it was at a distance and I was much more focused on the material than the presenter. In person I realized that he looked like one of the models in the Men's Health I was reading in the waiting room and that is not the type of doctor I am used to. Being of the female persuasion, I was more than slightly flustered. All of that was quickly forgotten once I got to know him and his easy going nature. He makes you feel very comfortable and he speaks articulately and honestly. He has no problem giving you accurate detailed data which I, being an uber-nerd, definitely appreciate. I cannot speak highly enough of his office and staff. They are some of the most caring and kind people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Once I walked in those doors, I never doubted that I had made the right decision. This same warmth and kindness carried to the hospital and has been a part of my post-op care. I have a bariatric nurse available to me 24/7 and I also have a dietician, an exercise physiologist and an amazing office staff. They have all made my bariatric surgery experience amazing.

My first impression of Dr Williams is great! He explains things in detail. I loved the fact that he seemed to have time for ME! not just in a hurry to get to the next patient. The office and staff have been more than wonderful to me - from giving me directions when Im in the middle of that detour on I-40 and running late for my appointment - to doing everthing in their power to schedule appointments working around my work schedule. There was nothing that I did not like about Dr. Williams or the office and staff. I just can not say enough good things about them at this point!

My first impression of Dr. Williams was \"Geeze, he's kinda young!\" but as soon as he started answering my and my husbands questions I knew I was in good hands. rnrnHis staff was simply incredible. Stephanie and Melissa are just as nice as they can be and it's sincere, not fake. They made me feel very comfortable and not the least bit nervous.rnrnI can honestly say I can not think of one thing I don't like about Dr. Williams or his staff. rnrnDr. Wiliams thoroughly detailed the before, during and after of the surgery. He told me what i need to do beforehand to get ready and what to expect after. He covered the risks in great detail. rnrnI've only had the consultation but from what I can see so far, I think everything else will be a 10.

I LOVE Dr. Williams.rnrnThe first time I saw Dr. Williams was at the informational seminar. I got a very good impression of him and decided to make my consult appointment with him.rnrnAt the appointment, I felt very comfortable with his competency and decided I wanted to go with him.rnrnThe next time I saw him was the day of surgery in the hospital. Since my surgery, I've gotten to know him much better and have been super impressed. And most importantly, his skill as a surgeon became very apparent and made me feel safe, especially during my complication.rnrnFive days after surgery, one of my incisions became infected, and I had to go to the ER. Rather than let one of the ER docs drain it, which could have been done, he came straight from emergency surgery to the ER to do it himself.rnrnDr. Williams' nurses are also top notch - Sarah and Andrea. They were amazing when I came into the office with the infection and even helped me when I was in the ER waiting for Dr. Williams (the ER wouldn't take me back etc, so I called Sarah from the waiting room). She put me on hold, paged Dr. Williams, and actually got in touch with him while he was still in the operating room and let me know what was going on and when he'd be down to the ER. They've also answered all of my questions with endless patience....even the ones where I called crying.rnrnI'd use Dr. Williams again in a second!
