Joseph Johnson Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr.Johnson is very good at what he does. He presented well at the information session and made my wife very comfortable that he would be my surgeon. He also came by before my surgery to say hi to my mom and wife. He skipped the hospital Christmas party just so he could check on several of us he did surgery on the day before. I would recommend the Highland program to anyone who is looking.

Dr. Johnson was great. He took the time to explain everything ahead of time and answer any and all questions. He updated my family, immedietly after he has completed my surgery. His bedside manner was very kind. I would recommend him highly.

My surgeon was Joseph Johnson at Highland Hospital. I loved him. He is so wonderful and did a great job on my surgery. He is very kind and calming and I had complete trust in him. I would rate him the highest rate you could give a surgeon.

I have found Dr. Johnson to be very kind and patient with the group at the seminar and when i met with him for consultation. I have the surgery scheduled for october 2010 and we will see how things will go. I have a very confident feeling that all will go well since Dr. Johnson is the Chief of Surgery at Highland. My son was born at Highland 6 years ago and the staff there was very kind and helpful during that time and I expect that will be the same this time.

I first met him in June 2008, at his seminar. He explained things so that all people who attended could and did understand. He also took time to answer everyone's questions.

Second time was on Dec. 1, when I had my surgeon's consultation. He put me at ease, and took the time, once again, to answer my questions, and address the concerns I had about the burn scar on my stomach (from drinking hot coffee as a baby at 18 months old).

Then the big day came; the day of surgery. He again put me at ease, and explained how things would happen, including surgery happening 45 minutes earlier than scheduled.

On the evening of March 3, he popped in to check up on me in my hospital room. He apologized to me that he didn't see me the evening of surgery, which was due to some minor glitches coming up in recovery. This reinforced the feeling I had that his bedside manner is excellent.

Overall, I would give him the highest marks I could. The staff at Highland Hospital are top-notch, from the receptionists to the surgeons. One of the dieticians even came up to see me in my room and give me the diet I would leave the hospital on.

Warm, considerate, and answered all of my question. He understood my distance of travel and knew I wanted the best of care, and knew he could provide me with that..Was willing to answer any and all of my questions. rnrnPre-Surgical and After0care are very important to him for the success of his patients...

Met him breifly at the first seminar that I went to months ago. seemed very caring and informed about all of our concerns. He took the time to speak to the group and to individuals to answer any questions. All the staff that I have had contact with so far have been wonderful. They work together as a team there at Highland Hospital in Rochester. I have a appointment to talk to Dr. Johnson on the 16th of June after that meeting I should be scheduled for surgery. I will know more after that date.

I \"met\" Dr. Johnson yesterday by sitting in his seminar ... I was very impressed with him! He explained everything so well and answered all the questions in a very kind and patient manner. I have complete confidence in him now, and can't wait to talk with him one on one at my future consult.
