I'm so excited about what this NEW weight loss journey has in store for me. This experience has been a pleasure. Dr. Afram went over every single detail and his staff is very knowledgeable and informative about the entire process.The best part of this whole journey so far was having the nutritionist on staff. Dr. Afram literally saved my life. I am 3 years post revision surgery and doing fantastic. I went from a size 24 to a size 6/8 losing over 100 pounds. I have kept the weight off and love, love, love wearing high heel shoes. I look and feel years younger. Do yourself a favor, if you need weight loss surgery or a revision please contact Dr. Afram and his staff, Sally and Colina. The entire office is compassionate and extremely dedicated to their patients. If you are in the DC area or not, Dr. Afram and his team are the very best and they will not let you down.

If I could give Dr.Afram 10 Stars I would.This entire process was just AMAZING, Just Fabulous from start to finish.I was very nervous. I met with several other doctors before having a consultation with
Dr.Afram. Once I sat and spoke with him one on one I knew he would be my choice. He explained the procedure from start to finish which the other doctors did not do. His staff made it so easy for me to make the decision to have surgery with The Center For Obesity Surgery. They held my hand through the process. Answered all my questions which eased all my concerns. Dr.Afram is the BEST. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

My surgery was preformed at George Washington University Hospital’s Bariatric Center of Excellence located in Washington, D.C.

This hospital and it staff made recovery for me the best. They are Angels on Earth and truly make you feel special, attended to, and cared for. I absolutely love love love them and this hospital. It was almost like a vacation with full staff.

Dr. Afram preformed my surgery in 2000. I have maintained a 150 lb. weight loss since that time. I have nothing but the highest praise for his skill as a surgeon and his professional team at the time. I am very grateful to him for giving me back my health and self-esteem. Dr. Afram and his staff is wonderful! They have taken care of my every need before, during, and after surgery. I didn't and don't have to worry about anything. His support program will assit me in losing weight and maintaining my new Lifestyle!!!

I tried to get WLS surgery in 2005 and saw Dr. Afram at that time. Unfortunately, my insurance did not cover it. On Dec. 4, 2010, my boyfriend and I both went to one of his seminars. We both felt he was the best person to perform the surgery. My boyfriend had his surgery on Feb, 22, 2011 and everything went smoothly. My insurance changed and I was able to have my surgery on July 12, 2011. The staff at Dr. Afram's office is not only courteous and professional, but they really care. I would highly recommend him and his team for both the surgery and group sessions afterward.

I'm overall very happy with Dr. Afram, his expertise, and his level of care. He is always willing to answer any questions I have, and although he has a busy practice I never feel rushed in my appointments with him. I saw him every day I was in the hospital. His staff is excellent. I really do believe that he saved my life, and I am very grateful for the opportunities he has given me to be healthy and fit.

I am very impressed by Dr. Afram's commitment to his patients. He offers an amazing structured aftercare program, which he stresses is a must in order to achieve life-long success. As he stated, "obesity is a disease, not a weakness." He explained, in extreme detail, everything about the surgical procedure, including the risks involved.

Dr. Afram's staff is exceptional. They are
terrific and make the process bearable.
