I first met Dr. Finks in March 2013 through the Adult Bariatric Program in Ann Arbor, MI based out of the U of M hospital in which I already had my GI and PCP doctors there so I wasn't going to look outside the network for weight loss surgery. My first impression of him was that he not only was an overall nice guy but he cared about his patients and the work he does. Although I was very educated about the decision I was making and what was involved. Dr. Finks walked into the room making me feel at ease no judgemental looks but concern and eager to help me make the right decision for my journey. He had reviewed my history and came prepared with an plan for me. He showed me everything from beginning to end of my surgery putting me at ease by answering all of my questions and not only that giving me more information for support before and after surgery so I can achieve success not just leaving me hanging after surgery. His assistants were just as awesome as he is they give you all the help you need with insurance and work forms so that is something you don't have to worry about while you are healing. Dr. Finks has an great bedside manner he jokes with you and makes you feel that everything will be alright because he's there. I had my surgery and Dr. Finks was there to explain everything to me before and after surgery he and his staff came to visit me in the hospital 4 times and I was only there 2 days so that should tell you he cares about his patients. I will tell everyone that is considering this surgery to pick Dr. Finks or at lease meet him before choosing someone else.
