My first impression of Dr. Wallace was that he was very nice. He looked very young. I had some initial concerns about him not doing the surgery as long as some of the others, but after talking to other people who had him as their surgeon, I didnt hear ONE bad thing about him. He was very nice. His staff is great. He explained the surgery to me, how its done, the risks of the surgery -- he was very forward and truthful about the risks associated with GBS, and I really appreciated that. He told me that after I have my surgery, I'll have to come back to the doctor not long after, then at 3 months, 6 mos and a year. He also said that its important to call them if I ever have any problems, even if I'm not sure its related to the surgery, because just in case it is, they will have Bariatric Surgeons on staff who would know what to look for - that could potentially be an infection, ect. I havn't had my surgery yet, so I can't explain any aftercare or anything like that, but from what I've seen of him so far, I love him :)

I met Dr. Wallace for the first time today. He is very nice, and spent as much time as I wanted to go over the procedures and risks with me. He really wants to make sure you are making an informed choice.

The office staff at the Elk Grove office is wonderful, even though Dr. Wallace was 90 minutes late, they kept me informed and offered magazines and a chance to sit in the exam room rather then in the waiting room.

I may have to have additional tests after they have a chance to review my medical records and recommendations from my primary MD, but that is to be expected and I am ready to sleep for anyone that asks :-)

The one complaint I have is that there is alot of construction at Alexian Hospital, and that makes parking very difficult and even with valet parking you have to wait a long time to get out. If I have a choice, I would pick to go to St. Alexis in Hoffman Estates just to ease the parking on my visitors.

He was very caring and answered all my questions. He also answered some questions I did not know I had. He seems caring yet professional. Only thing that is making me a little nervous is that he is relatively new to this practice. I'm looking at that as a positive though...he wants to make a good name so he's going to be extra thorough! He addressed all the risks and also all the benefits. I'm excited to go forward!
