Dr. Coon is so awesome! I am having Bypass surgery with him in 2 weeks. I will come back & review again after surgery but so far, he has been great!

I met Dr. Coon during my consultation & I have to say he is amazing! He is so friendly & calm. He made me feel so comfortable. My mom came with me (she is having WLS through Kaiser) & she loved him! She said she wished he could preform her surgery. The only negative thing I can say is I heard he is always late but he is definitely worth the wait!

Dr. Coon is the BEST ! he was very patient in explaining everything and making sure that I was a good canidate for the surgery and hes got this almost calming aura about him that just make you feel so calmed and relaxed and I felt I totally trusted him and was so happy he was my surgeon. I know that he really cared about me and wanted to make sure that I was going to be ok with everything. He is very adamant on after care so just make sure you go to all of your appointments after the surgery he wants whats best for all of his patients. His staff is awesome , when I go in I dont want to leave, especially Rhonda shes make you feel like your her family when your there, the LVN there is always up to date on the best types of supplements that taste good , where to find them , they give us coupons to save money, we get recipes , I love love the enviroment there.

My first impression was that Dr. Coon was soft spoken and had an unusual sense of humor, perhaps a little strange also. As I saw more of him I realized that he is very caring and concerned with my needs. His office staff is exceptional and is there for support 24/7. His bedside manner is second to none, his competence is high on my scale. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Coon to others who want to explore WLS.
My surgery was not completed due to the extremely large size of my liver. I do wish that Dr. Coon had me lose 50 lbs. before the surgery and possibly do the liquid protein diet longer that one week, then the chances of my surgery bing sucessful may have increased greatly.

Dr. Coon and his staff were very supportive and nice. He took his time with the initial consultation and answered questions that I had. His wife Mary was so sweet and answered even more questions that I had. I was there for at least 2 hours and they did not rush me out. Their staff is kind and understanding to all my phone calls and questions. It is nice to have a memeber of the staff, Rhonda, who has had the surgery and can understand the situations that the patients are going through. Their nurses and secretary are sweet and will help out in any way they can. I went to another physician also before choosing and I just felt more at ease with Dr. Coon and his lovely staff. I would recommend them to any person who is ready to look into the surgery.

I was so impressed with Dr. John Coon. He answered every question I had and made me feel good about going through with the lapband. My Ins. was the one that informed me of his office and his work. I heard many wonderful things about Dr. Coon and his staff. Everyone there is wonderful and very helpful. As of last year I was going through the 1-800-gettrim and went through the pre-op and after that I never heard from them. Come to find out after 6 months Someone dropped the ball on their end. So I followed up with my ins. and that is how I found out about Dr. Coon. I am so happy to have this oppertunity to have met him and learned more about the lapband. His staff is wonderful aswell and very friendly. Dr. Coon is so much into pacients and he stresses that it's all about our health and right there shows you how much he cares for us and our health. He made things clear as far as the effects of having the surgery and what can happen. I would rate Dr. Coon as a 10. Thank you so much for giving me this chance to change my life and live longer Dr. Coon and staff.

I first saw Doctor Coon over one year ago. I totally fell in love with his office staff and thought that he was also a very nice and caring man. He answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. I wasn't able to fit the surgery into my schedule then due to school, but one year later it all worked out. When I called the office again, they were just as nice and helped me get everything completed along with approval in a very short period of time. I have since had my surgery and have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Coon as well as everyone in his office. I also like the way his office has a very homey feel to it and doesn't look like a traditional doctors office. I highly recommend Doctor Coon and his staff!! :)

Dr. Coon made a very personal an close impression. He has made an effort to talk to me at every support meeting and spent about an hour with me on my 1st consultation appointment.

His office started off rough, it could have been me since I wanted a consultation without a referral. Once I received my referral his office staff has been great.

Since I'm pre op I have only heard about aftercare, so I cannot comment at this time.

I went to 3 other gastric bypass doctors for review before choosing Dr. Coon. I rated him and his staff the best. That is why I chose Dr. Coon.

I felt such relief after meeting with Dr. Coon for the first time. I was so nervous going in, but once there, I realized I was in very capable hands. He is friendly and open and willing to answer all of your questions. He is on top of everything. He really promotes going to the support groups both before and after surgery and I was so impressed when I went to one before surgery and him and his staff were there. After talking to other patients there I realized that it means a lot to them as well as to me knowing they are really there for us. The staff is the best! They really know what you are going to be dealing with and they are there for you every step of the way. I know that I can call them with any concerns or questions I have, without feeling like I'm bothering them. The office as a whole really emphasizes after care. They know that having a good healing process depends on you following up when they tell you to. I would give Dr. Coon and his staff a 10 for the work that they do for their patients. In my opinion I feel very blessed to have had him for my surgeon and for having them on my side.
