Dr Bruce was a Godsend. I was severly overweight and decided to do something about it when 2 years ago my best friend died of a heart attack in his sleep. He and I played college football together and attending his funeral was an eye-opener for me. I wanted to become healthy again. Years of playing Mr Executive were catching up to me. I thoroughly researched how I wanted to lose weight and lapbands seemed the answer for me. Dr Bruce was recommended by another Dr associate. Her caring manner and interest, not only in my weight, but me as a person, made a strong impression on me.
After 2 years, I've lost 117 pounds and continuing to lose as I'm 5 pounds away from the goal I set. My whole look is what others remember of me and it's gratifying to hear their comments and congratulations. But Dr Bruce deserves the congrats!
Thanks Dr Bruce - your skill and advice have changed my life for the extreme better!

Very comfortable with Dr. Bruce.rnrnOffice staff very accomodating, with my PA being very responsive and maintaining great communication.rnrnDr. Bruce does prefer to operate from Williamson Seton, which may not always be available under your insurance, as it is a new hospital, with the Austin Seton hospital being a Center of Excellence Hospital and IoQ.rnrnDr. Bruce did address the risks of surgery and also 'quized' me in a way to determine whether I had an understanding of the process.rnrnI haven't had my surgery yet, but I'd say that I feel that I am in very good hands.

When I first met Dr.Jinnie Bruce I liked her. She is concerned for her patients and their health.
All of her staff are friendly.
They all emphasized heavily that aftercare is more important than the before care. They all went over all the risks, the surgery, supplements, diet, aftercare. The dietician was very helpful and imformative on what I needed to get prior to surgery to help defer some of the costs after surgery of supplements and food.
The most important thing to me in a surgeon is their surgical competence and skill.
