Jeffrey DeSimone Bariatric Surgeon M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. DeSimone and his NP, Stephanie, and insurance liaison, Yvonne, are the best. Very attentive, spending lots of time with me, answering questions, asking me questions, being absolutely sure I am doing well. Dr. Cooper, as well, steps in when he needs to. During my initial visit, I was pleasantly surprised at all the information they shared, how at ease they made me feel, and how thorough and complete my time with them were. During the hospital stay, they followed me completely to my satisfaction. Aftercare has been very important and thorough, as well. I am very pleased and recommend this team. A+ all the way

Dr DeSimone, Dr. Cooper and staff are wonderful. Stephanie and Yvonne are very caring and sensitive. Once a patient, they definitely look at you as a patient long term. Aftercare is extremely important and they make sure you are well informed about what you need to do. They are very realistic about possibility of complications and do not sugar coat anything. They are both great surgeons and have a great bed side manors.

The whole experience with him and his office staff are and still wonderful.I was one of his first few patients to have the lap-band done with him.He had done many RNY before, but he was just getting started at the time I had my surgery on learning how to do the Lap bands.I trusted him with all my heart.I've known him for many years and I worked with his bariatric pt's before I had mine.So I knew his work very well.He also did my gallbladder surgery 12 yrs.ago.He has a great bedside manner and a wonderful personality, and he actually cares about his pt's.
Dr DeSimone and staff are wonderful. Terry and Yvonne are very caring and sensitive. Once a patient, they definitely look at you as a patient long term. Aftercare is extremely important and they make sure you are well informed about what you need to do. They are very realistic about possibility of complications and do not sugar coat anything. He is a great surgeon and has a great bed side manor. The only negative is that he operates at Community General Hospital. I think their care is sketchy, but worth the risk to be his patient.
Dr. DeSimone is awesome! My husband and I are both having Bariatric Surgery. We started out at SUNY but really did not feel comfortable there. I had no idea that Community had a program as well. I was thrilled when I heard that the surgeon was Dr. DeSimone. He removed my gallbladder 13 years ago and I loved him then. rnrnWe attended the informational meeting as well as a Support Group meeting. Terri and Yvonne are the best! I had my first appointment on July 11th. Today, July 18th, I had several tests and hubby had his first appointment! We both feel safe in their hands! :-)
I had my first appointment with Dr. DeSimone today. It was not our first meeting, he removed my gall bladder last January, however it was our first meeting where I wasn't under anasthesia! He was very friendly and very straight forward. He spent alot of time with me in the room to make sure I had asked all my questions and that I was confident with our decisions. We have decided to do an open procedure which was the only change. He is not yet a pro at the laproscopic procedure and there would have been an extensive wait for that method. The office is beautiful and all of the staff has been great at helping me get in and get this done as my doctor is pushing for a quick procedure to help my heart and body pain. I think he will be fantastic, and I know he did an amazing job with my gall bladder. I have faith that I am in the right hands. I would love any feedback on him from prior and current patients.
From the first time I heard Dr. DeSimmone speak I knew he was the doctor for me. He spoke in terms I could clearly understand, he took time to answer my questions and I felt like a person - not just a number.rnrnHe was very thorough with my care from day one, he put me thru every imaginable test possible, if I didn't know my health status before I certainly do now. rnrnHis office staff are wonderful, they are all very freindly, helpful, accomodating, patient, caring and know this disease and everyone has explained to me very clearly what to expect before, during and after.rnrn
