Very professional. Will only do surgery if you have tried other options and all of the pre testing is complete. It was very reassuring when in pre op and the staff kept saying how good Dr. Giovanni was.

I actually saw her in Johnston, where she now practices. I thought she was very professional. She explained everything in great detail. The office staff was incredible. They're very helpful.

When I first met my surgeon I was impressed she knows alot about what she is doing and she has done this surgery hundreds of times. She has the nicest staff all of the ladies that work in the office are all wonderful and pleasent. They always nevermind answering my dumb questions. The great thing is Dr. Giovanni and her partner Dr. Pohl did a great job up front telling me about the procedure the risks and all the work I was in for. I will let you know if this changes after surgery;)

I first met Dr Giovanni at a WLS seminar given by her and Dr Pohl. At the seminar she seemed very nice and knowledgeable.rnI had my first appointment a few weeks later.rnShe was very friendly and professional. Went over the whole procedure, risks, bennefits, ect. She took a very detailed history and answered my questions.rnI was impressed with her and felt very comfortable with her doing my surgery.rn

So, my consult with Dr. Giovanni finally arrived. I've been waiting almost 3 months for this. rnMy first impression of her was that she is not only beautiful but very friendly. She is straight forward and knowledgable. She discussed with me how significant bypass surgery is and that only I can determine if it's something I want to undergo. We discussed the risks of surgery and the life-time changes that are necessary in order for one to be successful. She did't sugar coat anything. rnI immediately felt comfortable, even when she was asking me why I wanted to have the surgery...and gave me a quick check of my eyes, lungs, heart, stomach and legs. I completely felt comfortable and look forward to having her in my life, considering since I'll be seeing her at least once a year for the rest of my life once I have the surgery.
