Jean Denis Yelle Bariatric Surgeon
I had Dr. Yelle and i have had no complications.I am a year and a half out and i have lost over 150 lbs and im still losing.Dr. Yelle and his team have given me a new lease on life. All the surgeons at the OWMC are top notch IMO as I have met some wonderful people who I am now close friends with now as a result of this process.
i could not have asked for more from Dr. Yelle... his professionalism and knowledge where so invaluable.. his performance and my surgical result was simply phenomenal.. i was up and walking with minimal pain almost immediately after being allowed to.. i can only hope you can have the same experience that i had with Dr. Yelle and the same result
I luved Dr. Yelle from the moment I met him. I had a list of questions to ask when I went to meet him but he answered every one before I had a chance to ask them. In the operating room he was warm and friend, post op he was very encouraging. If I had to do over again and my choice of surgeons, I would ask for him specifically.

Dr. Yelle and his staff at the Ottawa Civic were friendly, proffessional and very helpful. The team was always aware of my comfort and did everything possible to ensure a safe surgery and successful recovery. My overall experience with Dr. Yelle and his team was excellent.

Dr. Yelle is a great surgion! and his team is awesome too! I have a phobia of needles and hospitals and they did all they could to keep this traumatic (to me) experience ans enjoyable as possible. I hardly had any nausia and I was up and walking around less than 6 hours after surgery.

He is the head of trauma at the Ottawa General Hospital Civic Campus. Dr. Yelle, was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, professional with an excellent bedside manner, kind and thoughtful. My impression of him only grew stronger over time. The staff at the Bariatic Weight Management Clinic Civic Campus were all extremely approachable, knowledgeable, empathetic, and kind. Pre and post care is very important. You are put threw an intensive 4-6 week program plus appointments are set up for you to see a nurse, behaviourist, ultrasounds and scopes as necessary, dietitians, and a psychologist all at the Civic. The pre and post op care programs were thoroughly studies along with receiving 4 booklets in all for review and detailing all instructions and dietary needs. All the risks of surgery were explained in detail by the team, in our booklets and also reiterated by Dr. Yelle. I would rate Dr. Yelle without reservations 100%. Both his surgical expertise and bedside manner were 100%. My surgery was in the afternoon and he came to see me 3-4 times the 2nd and 3rd day and gave me the results of my CT scan himself and the go ahead to go home. I just
loved him.
