Jason Johnson Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Johnson is very caring and understanding. He is very professional, and is clear on his methods of procedure. I like that he is straight forward and does not attempt to hide anything from you. He is very committed to his patients, and dedicated in the structured and organized program that he has. Overall if I were to have surgery again, I would want Dr. Johnson leading the team!
He is surgically and medically competent, along with having a great bedside manner.

My first impression of Dr. Johnson was that he knew what he was doing. I had found reviews about him, and found him to live up to his reputation. I have only met him once up until now since this is a military treatment facility and my other doctor deployed. I felt comfortable with him, he took the time to answer questions and really put me at ease. At the time of admission, he was wonderful. I knew my surgery was risky, and I knew he was a little worried, but I felt comfortable that whatever problem arose, he would handle it the best that he knew how. My post-op care, he was just as easy to be around and talk to. Very good surgeon!

These are my personal views of my surgeon:

My first impression of Dr. Johnson was that he seemed to be very experienced and motivated. He knew what he was talking about and had the facts to back it up. At my first meeting with him he seemed busy but willing to stop and answer any questions. My impression changed drastically overtime when I met him for the second time at my pre-op appointment with him. He sat down one on one and took the time to tell me everything over again and reassure me of my decision. His office staff is incredible. Very professional and quick to get you back to see the doctor. Other patients should know that Dr. Johnson comes off a little preoccupied at first but he is a surgeon, what do you expect? Dr. Johnson was very direct when talking over the risks of surgery. He did not sugar coat anything, he was direct and to the point. I would give Dr. Johnson an A or 100%. I trust him completely with my surgery and after care, I know with a good surgeon like him I will be successful.

Dr. Johnson is my Angel!! He is no nonsense and takes his surgeries EXTREMLY seriously. He removed my gall bladder prior to putting in my Realize Band so I was fortunate to develop a good relationship with him.

I was very nervous about having this done at a Military hospital - but after working with Dr. J and the rest of the staff in the surgical clinic I know that I am in good hands.
