James Dolan Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
James Dolan was very informative. He didn't hold anything back yet was 100% supportive. He got to the point and like many surgeons seemed kind of hurried. That's understandable. He deployed soon after my surgery so I can't really say I was pleased with that. I wish he would have told me but hey, even if he had, I would have had teh surgery anyway. I think he did a great job. He seemed genuinely concerned about me and I got a \"good vibe\" from him. The Irish (?) accent didn't hurt either...LOL
My first impression of Dr. Dolan was that he was a nice guy. He was very much a gentleman and I am very impressed by him. I also liked meeting Dr. Hogan. Both men were very friendly which is a plus in my book! I'll say more about them after I have had my surgery.*update* I absolutely loved my surgeons, I felt cared for, beyond the "oh thats just my patient" aspect. I am forever grateful to the team of surgeons who did my surgery
7/14/05: My surgery went really well and even though it was LAP he was able to check my liver and remove some scar tissue from an old c-section. I have very little pain and am just feeling good in general. No one has ever had a bad thing to say about Dr Dolan in my expereince. He's personable and apparently pretty good.
Dr. Dolan seems to be very kind and very excited about weight loss surgery. The program at Keesler Medical Center is very support oriented with pre-op and post-op support regiments including psychological check ups, informative meetings, and support groups.
