J. G. Stephen Bariatric Surgeon M.D.
Mr Stephen when i first met him i knew i'd be ok and felt at ease with straight away mind he knows i won't take no bs from him, my impression of him hasn't changed at all he is a nice caring professional man who is good at his job.
The staff on the ward,in itu and all thestaff i had dealings with were all very nice.
I don't think theres anything i don't like about him but i would say he seems abit wary of me cos i'm quite an outgoing person who speaks her mind bluntly but never crudely unless i have too.
I see Mr stephen once a month for the time being and know that the staff and himself are just a phone call away.
I was told everything bluntly the pros and the cons and to be honest the pros outweighed the cons by an arms length.
This just my opinion but i'd give him a 9 out of 10 cos i'm still convinced he found the biggest wrecking ball he could to clout me with:))).Well smile abit more often cos you can look like you've been belted with a soggy kipper at times ok
surgical competence is always be the first thing that springs to mind as he sure does need to know what he is doing, bed side manner well will always come second no matter what you have done
1st impression - thorough
impression over time - very thorough
staff - efficient
like least - appears distant (just his way)
future patients - ask to see post-op diet sheet (I didn't see this pre-op)
emphasize aftercare - lots of info & reminders
very structured aftercare program - peace of mind
risks of surgery - very direct and clear
rating - out of 10 - 9
surgical competence slightly better than bedside manner
