Well, it's been three and a half years since Dr Ibrahim performed my lapband procedure. Just as he informed me from the get go, the process would be a several year commitment. Like most obesity patients, I wanted the weight to drop yesterday. Rather then having this mentality, I decided on a different approach. I made the decision for the lapband in order for the weight to decrease gradually. To date I've shed 135lbs, and have 20 more to goal. Dr Ibrahim is a top notch surgeon. Choosing him for my procedure was by far the best decision I've ever made. Every single office visit that I have, Dr Ibrahim is ALWAYS consistent. He provides superior service, and is always willing to answer any questions or concerns that arise. Also, Lana the resident RN is always there to assist, with a smile on her face. In addition, the doctors personal skills are wonderful, always putting ones mind at ease. I find it amazing that this guy is savings lives everyday, and never shows any signs of being haughty or pretentious. What you see is what you get..... A GREAT MASTER SURGEON THAT KNOWS AND APPLIES HIS STUFF. You need to look no more for the right bariatric surgeon. First impression was fine. Both doctors Ibrahim and Strain conducted a 1 1/2 Hour seminar about the various bariatric weight loss procedures including all the benefits and associated risks. There was a slide presentation, including a wealth of surgical info. He also passed around the lapband as well, which was pretty interesting. His office staff are very competent. Future patients should know that I traveled 1 1/2 hours to Englewood Hospital to have the procedure done. This facility and the doctors on staff are in my estimation one of the best in the tri-state area. (Just a side point) After researching almost every cardiac thoracic surgeon in the PA, NY, and NJ area I decided to have my triple by-pass surgery there, in 2006. I would rate him very high for surgical competence, and bedside manner. I haven't found any negatives yet. But there's still time!!

When I met Dr. Ibrahim, I had a very good impression of him. He made me feel very comfortable and more relaxed. His surgery cooridnator is excellent. They seem very caring. They run the support group.rnrnThey have the best staff around. They have turned their program into a full service program. They keep you in the loop. If you are denied they try to work with you with exercise and nutrition. They have a structured aftercare program. Much more evolved then when I first had the surgery. rnrnWhat I like the best about them is that they really care and fight for you. You are not just another number to them. My impression of them only gets better with time.rnrnChristine Robinson was the best. Without her I would have never won my appeal for my revision. She knows her stuff. She fights the insurance companies etc.

Dr. Ibrahim is a very serious, get down to business kind of surgeon. I then went to his seminar and realized what all the hype was about. This is a surgeon that really cares about his patients. He wants communication now and five years later. His nurse is Lana and she is excellent. No question is stupid. What I liked best about their office (which is probably the most sparse office I have ever seen) is that there was no before and after. Dr. Ibrahim does not want anyone to have this surgery if it is for cosmetic reasons. This is a serious surgery and he treats it as such.

Dr. Ibrahim Ibrahim and Dr. Stephanie Vaimakis work together when performing the surgery. During my pre-op visits I basically dealt with Dr. Vaimakis. I found her to be very knowledgeable and extremely calming. I went into the surgery without a nervous bone in my body. I had all the trust in the world in both of them and they did not let me down. While I had hoped to get out of the hospital in 4 days, because my white blood cell count was elevated, Dr. V would not release me. Even though I was unhappy at that time, I appreciate and value her thoroughness. I left the hospital feeling 100% and 3 weeks later, I still feel that way. I would not hesitate to recommend these doctors to anyone. They truly care about and for their patients and go the extra mile to achieve a successful outcome. I owe my life to the both of them and will be eternally grateful.

My first impression of Dr. Ibrahim was a very positive one. He has a wonderful bedside manner and answers all your questions, will not leave the room until you feel satisfied with his information.

His office staff is wonderful. Devorah, his nurse, is so very helpful. She is always there when I call her, always answers the phone, and will always give me the best advice.

Future patients should know that Dr. Ibrahim takes his practice very seriously and wants to help obese people. That is his practice and he wants people to succeed and is there for them.

He emphasizes aftercare a great deal. He keeps stressing how important it is and that you should do everything he and Devorah tell you because they are there to help you and want to see you lose all your weight and become a healthy, happy person.

He does have a structured aftercare program and was given to me in a pamphlet of about 30 pages.

Dr. Ibrahim and Devorah both addressed the risks of surgery in a very detailed and pointed manner. They wanted to make sure you understood the procedure and what could happen.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the absolute best, I would rate Dr. Ibrahim a 12.

Surgice Competence and Bedside manner are very important and go hand in hand and Dr. Ibrahim has both. I trust him explicitly.

I think that Dr. Ibrahim is one of the nicest doctors I have ever met - and I have met a lot of doctors. I feel that his staff has been very kind and helpful in all areas. since I started going to his office and group meetings a few months ago my life has already started to change - I am very gratefulfor all the things they have taught me about...including the following: pre-op, during and what to expect after. I think it would be nice if the post-op food plan was a bit more appealing - but I guess we have to be imaginative.

He is a excellent doctor. I went to his seminar and he was very clear and realistic about this type of surgery. I have total confidency with him. He and Dr. Stephanie are world class doctors.
