I was a low bmi patient with high blood pressure, elevated sugar, high cholesterol and the list goes on. Afraid to lose to much weight. Worried about being afraid to eat after the surgery. Worst of all worried about the pain I’d feel when I’d wake up, or not wake up at all. Dr A. Has the perfect way about doing things. From meeting you with everyone else having surgery the first day. To you being in a waiting room getting to vent to everyone before going into surgery. When it was my turn I told DR A what I was afraid of. I was not only relived from what he told me but also his staff who some of which had the surgery in house as well. I remember going in. Then waking up thinking I hadn’t been touched. Went back to sleep and when I woke I was ready to walk. I am horrible with nausea as well, and all the meds they gave me for both pain and nausea worked great because I am a wimp. In short all I can say is I was so afraid going in, and now I tell ppl the experience was so good if I could I would go do it all over again.

I was sleeved March 16, 2022 down 35 lbs and counting! I was hesitated to have surgery in Mexico but after researching Dr A, his sincere demeanor and professionalism made it an easy choice. I traveled alone and I must say it was the safest trip I’ve ever had! Words cannot describe the genuine passion and dedication Dr. A and his staff have for their patients! He is a great doctor my mother had her surgery in 2019 and she had the confidence to take me 06/25/2022 to have my surgery done . The staff is great all so kind and helpful . For anyone who is nervous don’t be I had no nerve because my mother trusted him to take good care of me and he did . He is kind and answers all your questions in detail. 100% recomend him I’m going into week 3 post op and feeling great !

Looking to solve my obesity problem, I found Dr. A tremendous decision. Dr. Alvarez and his team are absolutely amazing! The endohospital felt more like a really nice hotel than a hospital. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had surgery 3-26-22 I went in a little nervous but they are all reassuring I don’t even remember rolling back to the OR when I woke up I had no pain! They stay on top of it. I was up walking around within a few hours after getting to my room from recovery! The next day my sleeve sisters and I were given a tour around town. If you are thinking about having surgery call Dr. A! I promise you will be taken care of! I am now down 43 pounds and couldn’t have done it without Dr. A and my new sleeve!

I remember when I started researching weight loss surgery, very apprehensive about the procedure in general but also who did I want to go to. I had many friends that had went to Dr. Alvarez and had great success stories, and they couldn’t sing his praises enough. I made the decision to travel from Arkansas to Dr. Alvarez. I had my surgery on 6/28/2021 and have not regretted it once! Dr. Alvarez is amazing, his staff are truly the best! My starting weight was 219lb, and I’m close to my 1 year anniversary weighing 145lb! That’s a loss of 74lbs! I have loved every minute! Not only has the weight fallen off, but I have learned so much about food in general. I look at it all differently now. This truly is the best tool, the best decision, and the best surgeon! He should get way more than 5 stars!!

Easy and wonderful experience from start to finish. Dr. Alvarez has many videos online to walk you through the procedure and what to expect before and after surgery. You will be assigned a person to help you through the entire process and answer any and all questions you may have. You get a full report of the procedure to bring back to your own doctor at home. The facilities are beautiful, well maintained, and kept impeccably clean. There is plenty of staff available to you day or night should you need anything at any time of day. I can't recommend Dr. Alvarez and the Endohospital enough. Best decision I've ever made! My only wish is that I had known and got my gastric sleeve done sooner.

I had surgery with Dr. Alvarez on March 8, 2022 and that was the best decision I have ever made. My heaviest weight was 286 and I am already down to 229. Because of this weightloss I am more active with my kids and overall just feel so much better! Dr. ALVAREZ and his team were also TOP NOTCH! The hospital was the cleanest and nicest facility I’ve been to and I never had to worry about anything. Anytime I had a question someone was there with an answer. I’ve had three surgeries in America… after visiting the endohospital I never want another surgery in America. You are truly treated with the upmost respect and top care at the Endohopsital! I looked into having my sleeve done here in the states first but am so thankful that I decided to make the trip to Mexico and have Dr. A preform it instead. I research him and shared my findings with my Primary Care Dr. and she was impressed as well! not only with Dr. A credentials' but also that of the Endobariactric team and the Endohospital!
Over the years I have struggled with diet after diet to loose the weight that always left me feeling like a failure. I'd loose a few pounds but then put them right back on and then some. Dr. A crafted my sleeve on February 16th 2022 and as of today June 1, 2022 I have lost 52 pounds and still loosing!! I still have 40 pounds to go before I reach my goal but have every confidence that I will reach the goal!!
My surgical coordinator, Brandi guided me from the beginning. Answering all my questions not to mention the Education videos that Dr. A facilitates that explain the procedure in great detail! You will also receive post-op education and tutorials from Dr. A immediately after your surgery guiding you through the post-op stages.
Dr. A and his team are always available to answer any questions I may have. They truly care about their patients individually and I can honestly say that they provide the absolute best medical care that I have ever received!!

My experience with Endobariatric, as a whole, has been a blessing. What I mean is-the trip, arrival, prep for surgery, surgery, recovery, release, has all been an un-intimidating process (a breeze). You will go home with all the knowledge needed for your journey to lose weight. I'm a 60 year old female who has tried all my life to lose weight (short of surgery), and failed. After performing an extensive and intimidating research, I've chosen Dr. Guillermo Álvarez to perform the sleeve procedure.
