Dr. G is young, relatable, and confident. He did not seem rushed, and he gladly answered all my questions. He is trained to do lap surgery via the Divinci Robot. Only a small handful of surgeons are trained to use this remarkable technology.

Post review:
I had my surgery, and I am very happy with Dr. G. I had no complications, and a much easier recovery than I anticipated! I highly recommend the Abington Bariatric Group, and Dr. Antanavicius in particular!

my 1st impression of Dr G was that he seem so smooth. he made you feel comfortable that you was in the office talking to him about losing weight.
When i was in the hospital his bedside manner was so perfect and pleasant. maybe that is Why I kept going back due to some stomach pains that I experience.
His recommended after care I believe is the only one that works. I am so glad that Dr. G or for that matter all the Bariatric institute staff at Abington Memorial Hospital was taking care of me.
My surgeon is my book is the BEST!!!!!
He is Great/ He is totally surgical competent and as I stated before his bedside manner is SUPERB!!!!

Dr "G" is very informative and always smiling which makes me feel at ease and secure. Abington Memorial Hospital's Institute for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery is in a class by itself. They have a great program pre & post op.

WOw- thats all Im going to say had my Rny-WLS on 2/10/10 and Dr G was quite amazing and a very nice guy as well. made me feel so comfortable, stopped by my room everyday and so did Renee and the rest of the pose from The bariatric institute of weight loss from abington hospital, The entire gang is awesome, cant say much about the nurse staff at abington ? When I 1st got to my room ny nurse call button was broke and I had to call home and ask them to send in the nurse, 2nd niight it took 50 minutes for the dam nurse to respond and 2hrs for liquid tylenol , really displeased with the staff at the hospital, but like I said these guys were great and I know they had nothing to do with those other clowns...

I have had a great experience with my surgeon. He is a very competent surgeon with a great bedside manner. While in the hospital, he stopped by everyday and even called each night to check up on me. I would highly recommend Dr. G and his staff to anyone.

My hospital stay wasn't such a great experience. I'm a very independent person but the day after surgery, I needed some assistance. I was very weak and unsteady on my feet. The day after surgery, I was put into a chair early morning and left there till about 5. The nurse started to bathe me and in the middle had to leave. I sat there for 45 min before she returned to finish. It took 1.5 hrs to get nausea meds and 2 hrs to get pain meds. After I was up and moving, things were fine (since I was capable to doing things for myself). While this was my personal experience, I would do it all over again because of my surgeon. I would just be more educated about the situation.

Dr. G is a wonderful surgeon! He's in the practice out of the Abington Hospital with Dr. Bonani. rnrnFrom the start, Dr. G was very nice, courteous and answered ALL of my questions, no matter how insignificant they might have been. rnrnHe's a great motivator too, and at every visit so far has been totally great. My mother even liked him when she had to speak to him after my surgery was completed. She remarked at what a wonderful doctor he seems to be.rnrnAnyone going to the Abington Memorial Institute for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and is giving the option of going with Dr. B. or Dr. G, both are wonderful. My experience is that I do not regret for one moment opting for Dr. G and having my surgery a bit sooner than having to wait a while for Dr. B.rnrnDr. G. Rocks! :)
