Frederic Teboul Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I have not had any direct contact with Dr. Teboul but am working with Jonas Haegar at SurgicalTeam.com to help with arrangements. Dr. Teboul is a surgeon in Lyon, France who has done many gastric bypass surgeries. I have spoken with several Americans who have had surgery with him; all have had nothing but glowing remarks. I am using Dr. Teboul because my insurance denied my surgery due to an insurance exclusion and Dr. Teboul is about $15,000 less expensive than physicians in the Atlanta area. The main reason for the lower price is that fact that hospitals are much cheaper in France. It has been a delight working with Jonas. His assistance has been invaluable. My surgery is scheduled for April 4, 2003.

Dr. Teboul is a very good Surgeon. However, I do not recommend going to France for this surgery if you have another option. The language barriers with the hospital are very stressful and of course it would be much easier if that were not an issue. If you do not have insurance, as I didnt, I found this to be the best option for me . . . being that I was a cash paying patient. I have however learned since my surgery, that there are other options here in the states that are more reasonable both financially, emotionally and physically.
