I started out wanting to see Dr. Anthone, but after several calls to arrange a consult, and no calls returned to me, I decided to go with Dr. Rogers. So far my first impression of Dr. Rogers is "straight to the point". He seemed a little stern at our consultation, but I feel it is to let you know that this is not just a "fad", this is a life changing procedure. He tells you like it is, and does not beat around the bush. Needless to say, I like him so far. I need that kind of straight forwardness to open my eyes and take a look at the journey I am about to take. I was very impressed with the staff. Not even 24 hours after my consult, the nurses were calling me setting up appointments for some of the procedures prior to obtaining a surgery date. He has a very structured aftercare program. I rate Dr. Rogers so far a 10!!

NO BULL S*** !! Straight forward and blunt !
It didn't, he tells it like it is and I like that !
Fantastic, ask for Fawn and tell them Mark Frederiksen sent you.
Nothing.
He is blunt and will tell you how it is.
The program was just starting so I wouldn't know.
Yes.
Told me I could die and almost did.
110% absolutely great !
Competence is incredible. Bedside not bad but I would rather have a grouchy great surgeon then a touchy/feely poor surgeon.

I thought at first he is very up front and business like. He wasn't real personable, but very informative. I'm not looking for a best friend I was looking for a knowledgable surgeon. He seems to know is stuff. He answered all my questions w/o any hesitation. He took the time to assure me I was in good hands. I like him. I would highly recommend him. He makes me feel compfortable and I am looking forward to my surgery.

straight shooter, he talks straight no bull crap my opinion never changed
the office staff was great
his bedside manner with my girls
He is very honest so if you don't want to hear the truth find someone else
Big on aftercare, groups,etc
Told me all the risks of surgery or life without surgery. he was a 10 in my book for me both but for others it was surgical competence

My first impression of Dr. Rodgers was a very good one. My 6 year old daughter had to go with me to the consultation and he was very nice to her. He was very up front and honest with me. There was only one thing that really bothered me that he was very rough about the consequenses that would come from being my size although i understand that his job is to make me see how unhealthy i am like this so in a way i did appreciate it as well. I liked that he didn't try to hide anything from me or sugar coat it for me. He very clearly went through the benifits as well as all the risks with me.His nurse Fawn was very nice and sweet. I have talked to her alot since then and she is handling all the insurance stuff she seems very compotent and on top of things.I think that they work very well together. The office was very clean and they both washed their hands which is very important to me. I would say so far that he is an excellent doctor. I would prefer surgical competenceover bedside manner anyday if he knows what hes doing would be better than wottying about his manner.

WOW! Finally a doctor who will shoot it to me straight and not tell me what I want to hear. I have never had a doctor take the time to introduce himself and let me know where he is coming from when it comes to performing this surgery. He said he will be with me every step of the way, he will check up on me just as I should check up on him. We talked for more than an hour during my appt. He cares for his patients and expresses that I am not just a number, I am his patient. I am so glad I switched from the previous doctor I had to Dr. Rogers. He is definitely one of gods angels!

Right as of today I have only met with hi9m one time. He is very forward, very business like.I was very uncomfortable at first but after talking to his nurse Fawn.I felt much better. I am very nervouse about surgery, but i am desperate to have a whole new life. Dr.Rogers is just very business and he wants you to relize what you are doing and this is not a quick fix and that you also have to make chenges. After coming home and thinking about things I relizes the way he was with me and I appreciate that. He dont make it fun for you at first. He just wants you to relize everything, Im sure that once the surgery is over, I will have alot of respect for him and i will feel as if he is my friend as well as just a DR. He took time to explaine this to my little Joshua and that really ment alot to me.

My first appointment with Dr. Rogers got cancelled because of a family emergency, but his nurse, Fawn, called me and told me all that I needed to bring with me for the office visit. She was very informative and very nice. When I did meet Dr. Rogers my first impression was that he was all business and no fooling around! I like that in a doctor/surgeon because you know up front that he/she intends to do their very best. He was very practical and right to the point. It was when my husband became emotional, as we were talking about the surgery, that I saw the lighter side of him. He assurred us both that he would do his very best to make sure I was okay. Overall, both my husband and I were quite impressed with Dr. Rogers, and I feel confident that he will take good care of me!

It's been four weeks today since my surgery and all I can say is Dr. Rogers saved my life. He has taken such great care of me and has addressed every single concern with care and urgency. Overall, he's taken excellent care of me and is sincerely concerned about my health, something I have a hard time saying about most of the other doctors I've encountered. He's caring and considerate and just a wonderful doctor/surgeon. Thanks, Dr. Rogers! You gave me my life back.

My first impression of Dr. Rogers was that he was very forthcoming and confident. I'm pretty confident in saying he is blunt at times (think Dr. Phil). As he kept talking I understood what a compassionate man he really is. He really is about finding a solution to the problem, not the commercialism of it. I think that may be why he doesn't have a year long wait. But he has been doing this for years so he is experienced. His nurse Fawn is very sweet and they work off of each other well. In the end I would recommend him as someone to go see regarding this because he really is about you, and why you are doing this.
