I am a 61 year old man that has a 6 year old Grandson that I want to see grow up.
Having the surgery is a tough decision but after going through all the pre-qualifying and counseling I made the decision to go ahead with the Laparocsopic gastric bypass.
I am six months past the operation now and I am totally satisfied with the results,I was 477 pounds before surgery and I have already lost over 90 pounds. I am getting back to the person I was 25 years ago with more get up and go and I am not as exousted when my Grandson visits. I am definitely happy with my decision.
Dr. Franzide and his staff have guided me through the rough spots and have been there for me when I needed them most.
If I had to to do over again I wouldn't change a thing. I am surely glad that this surgery is available to people that have been on the diet roller coaster without any results other than depression and self- desgust.

I am 23 years old and a year and a half post op. Since my surgery, I have lost just over 100 pounds! Last week, Dr Frantzides and Dr Welle did a hernia repair and tummy tuck on me. I cannot even begin to describe how exstatic I am with the results. The best decision I made was choosing Dr F as my surgeon. Ever since the day I met him, I knew that he would take great care of me. My first surgery went flawlessly as did my second. Dr F & his team took incredible care of me! Any questions/concerns I had, they were always here to support me and provide me with the information that I needed. Losing the weight and feeling good in my skin has given me the chance to live the life I have always wanted. Dr F is to thank for supporting me and giving me the best surgery possible. I will always be thankful to him and his team.

For years I was a yo-yo my weight going up and down and it took me 3 years to finally decided I wanted to go through the gastric-bypass. I was about 100 pounds over weight, I was borderline diabetic and I knew I had to make a change in my life. It is a scary thought because of all the side effect you may encounter. On Tuesday, December 28, 2010 I did it. I went through the laparoscopic gastric bypass and I have no regrets. In 10 days I have lost 20 pounds. I look different and feel good. Dr. Frantzides and his staff were such wonderful people. Answered all of my questions, friendly, outgoing, funny. I will highly recommend anyone to Dr. Frantzides. They have already changed my life.

Thank you Dr. Frantizdes and his staff

I am a 21year old female who had been struggling with my weight since I was about the age of 8. I was always overweight not getting to enjoy and experience the same thrills and events as other kids and teens my age. I have never really had many health problems in my life just asthma and PCOS. I went to the doctor for a physical in April of 2010 and I was told that in order to live I needed to have weight loss surgery. I had tried everything from dietitions even rude ones to weight watchers and special programs to help teens loose weight but none of that made a difference. My father had laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery by Dr. Frantzides 5 years ago and I wanted to have him do mine. He is THE BEST I would not have trusted ANYONE else but god to preform a surgery this big on me. We began working with Dr. Frantzides in May of this year it is now December I had my laproscopic Gastric bypass surgery on Dec 14,2010. I knew that day my life would change forever! Everything went so smoothly in the hospitol Dr. Frantzides and his office were so caring and took excelent care of me I had no worries at all. It is now 1 week post-op check-up and I did my first weigh in and had lost 33 pounds!! I didn't know that something this good could even happen in 1 week. That number there shows that if you trust and follow the rules of Dr. Frantzides he can change your life. When people ask now how I have lost this weight and in the future I will just smile and say it's simple "Body By Frantzides"!

I have been overweight and fighting it my whole life. I have tried so many diets and have been successful most of the time, but always gained the weight back and than some. I was very depressed, and down on myself. My sister had bariatric surgery 3 years ago with Dr. Frantzides. I watched as her body transformed from size 22 to size 8-10. I was so jealous. She referred me to Dr. Frantzides and I finally bit the bullet and made the appointment. Everyone in the office was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. A month later I had the surgery. It was not that painful and I'm so glad I had it done. I am one week out and I lost 17 pounds. I know I will be much happier. I will actually be able to look in the mirror again, and I will actually be able to move better and actually tie my shoes without strain. Dr. Frantzides spends a great deal of time with you, and is very caring. I would recommend him to anybody that needed weight loss help.

Update
I am back. Today was my 3 month visit, I am happy to say that I now have lost a total of 100 pounds. I feel better healthwise, I sleep better and it's easier to walk. I am very happy with the way it's going.

I was a normal child, sometime during high school yars I started gaining weight. I am 35 years old now and I month ago I decided to have the gastric bypass. I came to see Dr. frantzides with my friend and he spent an hour with us, explained everything, and answered all our questions. Once we were done with that I didn't have any doubts about the doctor or the procedure. I knew that if I was going to have the surgery it was going to be with him. 2 months after I met with him I had my laparoscopic gastric bypass. I am one month after and already 55 lb down. I am glad I made the decision to have the surgery.

OMG!! Dr. Frantzides and his staff are above excellent. I had surgery 10 days ago. And I have not had ANY complications at all. I read the obesityhelp comments and I feel so lucky that I selected Dr. Frantzides. Dr. Frantzides surgical competence, bedside manner AND office decorum is GREAT!! He is very personable but yet he made sure that I was informed and ready for surgery. He and his staff is so friendly and willing and waiting to answer any and all questions day and/or night 24 hrs a day. I have been dealing with Dr. Frantzides and his staff for awhile and I tell you that his pre-surgery, surgery and post surgery professionalism has remained consistent. If you are considering WLS please know that Dr. Frantzides and his staff set the STANDARD of EXCELLENCE by which all other surgeons should follow. Not only is he nice but he makes sure that you are armed with clinical studies, patient education materials and a support network (his staff) all before you decide to have WLS. I had surgery 10 days ago and I have lost 20lbs already. Thanks to Dr. Frantzides and his staff.

It't been 3 months and I loso 90 pounds. Because I listen to the doctor and my wife. I never thought that I would be one of the people that would go throught surgery in order to loose weight. Actually it was not untill couple of years ago at 400 pound that I started to think that have a problem and I have to do something about. My wife and a friend who had the surgery was talking to me about it, convincing me that this is something that has to be adressed. At the point that I was loosing weight would be very hard, even with all the support, and while it's never easy it's going down much faster then it would if I was just using dieting and exercising. Mentally and physically this has changed my outlook of my health and my future.

My decision to have surgery came after many years of struggling with my weight issues. I come from a family that is all large people, I have friends that are big. I was struggling with day to day activities, it was getting harder and harder. Not being able to fit in a baseball chair, climbing stairs, intimacy gets harder too. I didn't want to be in a wheelhair like my father in law. I wanted to be able to enjoy my retirement. I want to go places and not be stuck and ill. So I decided something had to be done. I went on the internet and discovered Dr. Frantzides. I made an appointment and I brought a friend with me. After talking to the doctor and rewiving all the educational material, I gave them to my primary physician to look over and after he reviewed them he said "that's the guy you want to go with". Within a month I had my laparoscopic gastric bypass and so did my friend. Today is one month after my surgery and I am 45 pound lighter and looking forward to my new healthy life.
Update
I am back 3 months later and 77 pounds lighter, five pant sizes down, feeling great, lots of energy, fit in the stadium seat much better. Thanksgiving I was able to eat everythinh everone else had, just took me longer, I even had a piece of pie with no problems to top it off. I am feeling fine, everything seems to be going normal, will be back in three months, keep you posted.
