Dr. Warden is great. He is straight forward and listens to his patients. He was the surgeon for my lap-band and performed my revision on Tuesday. The aftercare is structured. The stage of food progression is very detailed and easy to follow. I would never go to another surgeon.
His bedside manner is reserved. I think that I freaked him out when I hugged him today. The office staff is wonderful.
First impression, quiet, pleasant and easy to talk with. Seemed to be preoccupied although he did spend time with me answering my questions. Office staff have been great although hard to get ahold of. I honestly hate answering machines. They are relatively quick to respond. What I disliked most is the ability to get ahold of HIM. I can talk to his staff, his nurse practioner or anyone else but the doctor is like seeing the president. He addressed the risks quite well as did the seminar his bariatric group put on. I would rate him an 8. Both surgical competence and bedside manner although surgical competence is the most important.
My first impression of him was nice, felt comfortable around him and laid back. The office was very nice and the staff was all nice and imformative. The staff I have been talking to by email or phone has been very nice, helpful and professional. He discussed the procedures, risk, etc. He took his time to listen to my questions and did I have alot. Answered them.
Dr. Warden performed my husband's gastric bypass in 2003. The day after surgery my husband had a major leak, but Dr. Warden went out of town. By the time the hospital contacted Dr. Warden and he came to the hospital, my husband was in critical condition with septic shock. I had my husband transferred to another hospital and doctors who saved his life. My husband spent the next 3 months in the hospital and then several months in a nursing home. I'm sure he performed many successful gastric bypass surgeries, but this was not one of them.
I feel I chose the right surgeon. He is and was very thorough. During my surgery he notice a problem with my liver, did a biopsy right then. My gastro Dr. praised him for his decision. We arnre on top of it now. He follows his patients very closely. I learned this for my self as well as comments from the nurses.rn I would rate him a ten in all aspects of my care.
I've met Dr. Warden once at my first consult. I was pretty impressed by his ability to speak to me like a normal human. Don't get me wrong doctor's are great, I'm married to one, but sometimes that have a way of treating you like you're an idiot. Dr. Warden wasn't this way. He was very laid back and approachable. rnThe office staff was great. The nurse who assisted me was very nice and helpful. I was anxious and started asking her questions that I probably should have waited for the doctor to answer but she calmed my fears by answering the questions that were racing through my mind.
Dr. Warden is a wonderful surgeon. He makes you feel very comfortable with everything that he will do and what you can expect. At the time of my surgery, Dr. warden was in Ocean Springs, MS. The group I worked with still contact me after all this time to check up on me. I'm sure that is team now in Louisiana is just as wonderful.
