Compassionate Doctor, friendly, knowledgable in this field. He and his staff are very friendly, informative, ask you questions you would't think to ask. Compassionate staff. Make you feel good about yourself, and they all take the time to get to know the person. I was informed of any risks,and what is expected of the person before and after surgery. They do a very thorugh job to keep you informed of all aspects of surgery/after care. They have a great support group that meets 1 a month, where you can discuss any problems or concern you may have. I would recommend Dr Nielsen to any one for this surgery. He and his associates/Physican's Assistant are to m tops in this field in this area. they keep a close eye on you while in the hospital and their bedside manner is good. on a scale of 1-10. I would rate them a 9(ok come-on..no one is perfect..LOL) This is a doctor who cares about the person
DR NIELSEN IS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND TELLS YOU THE GOOD AND BAD ABOUT SURGERY. HE GOES INTO ALL THE POSSIBLE PROBLEMS THAT COULD HAPPEN. SO THAT WHEN YOU HAVE MADE YOUR DECISION TO HAVE THE SURGERY YOU ARE CONFIDENT WITH THE DECISION. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH DR NIELSEN. I ALSO FEEL HIS STAFF AT THE CLINIC ARE VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND HELPFUL. THIS IS A VERY COMPLICATED SURGERY AND FELT GOOD ABOUT HAVING THE SURGERY DONE IN STEVENS POINT. THE SURGERY TEAM IS VERY THOURGH, YOU WILL NEED TO SEE A PSYCHOLOGIST, DIETICIAN, SUPPORT GROUP AND A VERY INTENSE MEDICAL TESTS TO BE APPROVED FOR SURGERY. THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE HEALTHLY ENOUGH TO HAVE SURGERY AND NO OTHER PROBLEMS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED FIRST BEFORE SURGERY. THE SURGERY IS JUST A TOOL TO HELP US LOSE THE WEIGHT WE STILL HAVE TO DO THE WORK. MEAING THE EXCERCISE AND EATING THE CORRECT FOOD AND THE RIGHT AMOUNTS. IF I HAVE A QUESTION OR CONCERN I HAVE A NUMBER OF QUALIFIED STAFF TO CONTACT FOR THE ANSWERS. OVERALL I FEEL DR NIELSENS TEAM IS WONDERFUL AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB FOR ME!!
