My first impressiona was that he was nice and to the point. He Drew me a picture of what he would be doing. Set me up with his office assitant Susie, and other information for my psych eval, and other medical tests. The only thing was that I wish I would have had more time with him during our initial consult. The only other time I saw him was at the support group meetings and he was always warm, welcoming and had a smile on his face. His office staff wonderful. Especially Susie, who I bugged so many times with questions. As a possible future patient you will find that Dr. Molinelli truly has your best interest at heart. At 260, even though my BMI said I qualified he wanted to make sure I was sure about this and he sent me to a MD that specializes in weight loss. This showed me that he wasn't in this for the money and he wanted me to understand the risks. He is good with after care, my follow-up visit was scheduled for the following Thursday of the next week after. Overall I rate hime an A+ and his surgical competence is above and beyond. Laproscopic surgeries are his specialty. As for bedside manner, his great smile always made me feel better. I was wining about the tube that ran from my new stomach through my nose and he got it out for me!! I was so happy,

I felt comfortable with my surgeon the first time we met. He was understanding and answered all my questions. his office staff was a pleasure to deal with also. Usually after surgery most patients never see their doctor again. Dr. Molinelli also helps run a support group. He attends almost every monthly meeting. I would recommend him to anyone considering this surgery.

Dr. Molinelli performed my gall bladder removal 3 years ago, and was terrific. He is very kind and personable, isn't at all a "fat bigot", explains the procedure in great detail---with diagrams, went into great detail not only about the benefits of the surgery, but also about the possible complications. I believe he gave me realistic expectations for shortly after the surgery...didn't make it seem like it was going to be a walk in the park, so to speak. He recommended support group attendance before and after the surgery, providing the name of a contact, who is also the nutritionist he recommends. He explained that he schedules numerous follow-up visits to make sure that everything is going well, as it is much easier to deal with issues before they get out of hand. His office staff is friendly and helpful, the office is comfortable, and I had very little wait time to be seen. Having had him as my surgeon in a previous operation, I feel that he is quite competent, as well as being a friendly and caring physician. I will update this as I have more contact with Dr. Molinelli and his staff.

I am now post-op, and am so very pleased with my decision to go with Dr. Molinelli. He is very very compassionate, and doesn't talk down to you or make you feel that any question is a stupid question. He actually attends the support group meetings, and answers questions or offers advice. I had my first post-op appt. with him 2 weeks out, and he gave me a pep talk. He understands how around the 2 week mark, most patients start to question their decision at least a little. He told me that things will get better every day and that eventually I will feel heart and soul that this was the best decision I have ever made for my well-being. He is a very talented surgeon, and a caring and friendly person. I am thrilled to have had him be my guide through this process.
