When I first met Dr Bobby, I thought that his was a force to be reckoned with. He was patient and very informative. His staff is extremely helpful and supportive. Kristen has been a life saver with scheduling appointments and his dietician paced us through the classes and answered all of our questions. My husband and I are grateful to them all. It makes our 4 hour roundtrip worthwhile when we are met with such dedication and caring support. Thank you. Wish us luck!

When I first met Dr.Bobby I thought to my self wow he is very young, but he has his stuff together he has the best bedside manner he is vary carring, his staff is wonferful his office manager was his RN for all his patients at the hospital for years before she came to work for him and became his manager, she comes with him to do the follow ups at the hospital after surgery and that's great. Aftercare for him is very important he has alot of support groups that he attends also, weeks before surgery he let's you know the risk and tells us how many of his patients had what complications. I would rate Dr. Bobby @ 101%rnhis compentence in advance laparoscopic surgery along with his bedside manner is the very very best.

Wow! Dr Bobby! Where do i begin! He is awesome! From the first time I met him at a evening seminar to now has been a very wonderful journey! He is the most thorough, extensive Dr. that I have ever known! He takes the time to listen to all of your questions but before you even ask.... he has your answers!! Whether it be with videos, slides, handouts, support groups, nutritionist and a staff that is incredable!!! I have never felt more confident in a surgeon! I have had many surgeries in my life and this is the first surgeon to care about ME! My whole body! My heart, lungs, blood pressure, a physical, sleep apnea study, even my mental health! He has gone above and beyond in readying me for the surgery with a full thorough exam of my body! He wants to know all he can about me before he gets in the surgery room and has no surprises! Wow! Thats a first from any doctor I have ever known! Dr Bobby CARES! His amazing staff.....Kristen, Lisa, Marina and Jennifer are the perfect team! My husband and I feel extremely confident in Dr. Bobby and his team to lead me in my new journey of life! LEAN FOR LIFE! Thank you! Dr. Bobby

I love Dr. Bobby. I am so blessed to have been referred to him for this surgery by the pulmonary doc who treated my pnuemonia. I had struggled with shortness of breath and for years my previous doc had just kept changing asthma meds etc. Dr Bobby was great and patient and the support group at Desert Regional Center is well done. I was so blessed by the team that was there for me Pre Op and Post Op. It is worth the trip to California now for follow up since we have moved to Arizona. If you have the choice, this is the best place to go. If you have been sent to another doc because of insurance you can still attend the support group here. The structure and information are great.

I met with Dr Bobby on 11/17...what a difference from my previous experience with another surgeon. I like Dr Bobby and Lisa (his office staff) a great deal.

Dr. Krahn's office staff ir very nice. I'm still not completely sure how I feel about Dr Krahn himself. The appointment was a bit rushed, and I actually ended up having a lot more questions AFTER the appointment than I had going in. I had read on this forum that he was "strict" and I couldn't quite grasp what that meant exactly. Since the appointment I think strict may not be the right word to describe his approach. Conservative and cautious are two words that come to mind. Overall I was somewhat disappointed. Maybe future visits will be different. I should also add that Dr Krahn was not my original choice for my WLS. I had actually consulted with another surgeon, but my insurance company referred me to Dr K instead. I don't think it helps that it's a 120 mile round trip to his office either

My first impression of my surgeon was that he was very young. He did have humor about my comments.
Listening to him talk about himself I experienced his ego, but also grew stronger in his knowledge and ego became self-confidence. I am impressed with his focus and his bionic arm and hand technology skills. I feel lucky to have him.

Dr. Bhasker-Rao's office staff is a little lax on follow-up. I went 3 weeks before anyone called me after the initial visit and I had to call them. I guess it's because of the doctor's popularity.

Scheduling a surgerical date was a difficult, because I didn't feel anyone heard me regarding timelines. I learned that I should have stayed on them for a date, while I thought they would do it for me. However, when they saw my desparation, they came to my rescue, and I'm set.

Patients have to stay proactive and not wait for any calls. Future patients will need to keep pushing constantly for the next step, because it doesn't come automatically.

Post surgery instructions are covered generally in the doctor's seminars, but my questions pertain to all the other medicines that I take. I am sure I will get more imfo at the right time. His nurse, Marcia, is very good, as she is a patient also. She's the best information source.

I haven't had the surgery and will wait on this question.

Surgical competence has to be first, but bedside manner can make or break the patient's attitude. I have caved a few times when I felt forgotten. I found this forum and feel tons better.

When I first went to Dr. Bobby I was quite impressed by him.Dr. Bobby is very caring, and doesn't make you feel like you are just a lump of fat. He makes you feel like you do have a purpose in life and he will help you get there. He has a great office staff and Marcia is the greatest, she will help answer all of your questions, and let you know you are doing the right thing for yourself. I feel if you are considering this surgery and live in the Desert (palm springs area}that Dr. Bobby is a very qualified and a great surgeon. He is very helpful before surgery and after, he don't care what time of day it is if you have a problem he wants to know about it. He does tell you the risks of the surgery as well as the benefits. I just have to say the surgery was a tough decision for me, but I felt safe in Dr. Bobby's Care and now I feel blessed I had him for my surgeon...Val Snead

I feel that the desert community where I lived has truly been blessed with Dr. Bhasker-Rao starting up a bariatric program. I was referred to him by my knee doctor and from the initial appointment he has been caring, patient, and explains everything in detail. One thing I truly thought was very neat was that after the surgery, he gives each one of his patients his personal cell phone number so that they may reach him at anytime.. Not often do you get that kind of treatment anymore. My surgery went successful (so far!! 36 days post op) and I feel that this because of his expertise and constant surveying the patient. He not only treats you like a you are one of his favorite patients, but a close friend..... I highly recommend anyone who comes into contact with him.

Dr. Bobby is a nice guy, he looked to young to be a surgeon (he’s older then he looks).
I still think he is a nice guy; he really cares about my well being over making money off the surgery. His nurse Lisa is very helpful and informative. Trust him, he looks like a rookie but he has done 1000's of these. He insists that you get follow up care; this is a life time commitment. Yes monthly visits and support groups. Dr. Bobby did not hide the fact that there were risks, just like any other major surgery. He shows you what may go wrong and how risky it may be. He explained everything step by step. I would give him a 9 over all. His surgical competence gives me nothing to be worried about, and his bedside manors are great. He is very compassionate and understanding.
