I had my first appointment today with Dr. Beth Ryder and my first impression of her is she is great I really liked her she made me feel comfortable right away. She is easy to talk to and friendly. She is young probably in her thirties but I find that refreshing. She spent time with me and I did not feel rushed at all I felt like she really listened to me and also she was very informative about the Lapband. She told me about the risks and about the surgery itself. I left the office feeling good about the whole experience. So my first impression of Dr. Ryder is to say she is great I think anyone would like her. The one drawback to Dr. Ryder is where her office is located I hate the building it is in because of the parking although it is easier now with the parking garage but I would prefer an office away from the hospital but it is just a small thing and I would not let it stop me from seeing her. rn
I know the lovely staff at OH states \"No person can be the \"best\" in all aspects\" But I feel Dr. Ryder is just that, the best. I was referred to her by my Endocrynologist, Dr. Dobrzynski (another wonderful Doctor). I scheduled my appointment, received my approval, necessary paperwork, and scheduled preop visits all in a very short time. Dr. Ryder was extremely helpful in describing the different WLS, and let me decide based on the information she provided and what I felt was best for me. When I decided to get a lapband, she already knew that was my decision. The surgery went well with no complications. Since post op I have seen her every month and always look forward to sharing my progress with her. rn
Dr. Ryder is part of University Surgical Associates in Rhode Island, and is a very competent surgeon. She has impressed me from our first meeting, to our continuing appointments. She appreciates your honesty with her, and she was always honest with me. Along with the support group, and pre-operative teaching required, I never felt nervous! Her bedside manner is great...but I didn't really appreciate it, because when I don't feel well I just want to be left alone, and I was nauseous after surgery, so was not a very good patient. Even with a few small bumps along the way post-surgery, it was taken very seriously, but turned out to be minor. We are both very pleased with my progress!
When I first met with Dr.Ryder she was very nice, caring and easy to talk to. She is very knowledgable and she takes the time to listen to what u have to say and she will take the time to answer ur questions. Considering the length of my surgery, Dr.Ryder was awesome and got things fixed and the outcome was good. She saw me a lot while I was in the hospital and I heard her aftercare is awesome also.rnrnrn Shannon
I met with Dr. Ryder on my first appointment (instead of the nutritionist) and was very impressed. She is open, honest, non-judgemental, and down-to-earth. She took a lot of time to talk with me, listen to my ideas and questions, provide me with information, and explain things. I felt completely comfortable and at ease with her.
