Dr. Aksade, the program Coordinator Mandy, and Easton Hospital were great. The program is very efficiently designed to make the patient extremely informed of the benefits as well as the risks of the surgery.

The program encourages attendance at the support groups prior to surgery to ensure the prospective patient gets information right from the source: people who have had the surgery. The accomplishments and problems with surgery are highlighted. Nothing is hidden from you. Mandy encourages discussion of a post-op patients daily eating habits for those that are emarking on the journey and those that may need inspiration as they continue.
My mother (not very enthused initially with my decision to have the surgery) attended my initial meeting with Dr. Aksade. He answered all of our questions with honesty.

I continued on with the program requirements and had the surgery on January 25, 2011. Ann and the staff at Dr. Aksade's made sure that I met all of the insurance requirements and worked hard to get approval, even with last minute snaffoos.

I had my all of my pre-surgery tests and procedures at Easton Hospital. My experiences with those and the actual surgery staff were excellent. Everyone in pre-op to post-op were great. Nurses on the floor, especially Jill and Delia were very helpful in making sure I kept on track for my discharge.

I just came from a follow up with Dr. Aksade. I have lost 100 pounds to date. The staff was encouraging and made my visit very personal. Dr. Aksade has a calming and relaxed manner, all while being thorough in his exam. He doesn't make anything you ask seem insignificant.

Many thanks to all!!

When I first met Dr. Aksade, I liked him instantly. He has a great bedside manner and he is interested in what the patient has to say. Over time, my opinion of became higher, he is always there for his patient's any time day or night. His office staff is AMAZING, I have never met such a nicer bunch of ladies. He is all for aftercare and support groups, in fact he comes to all the support group meeting so his patient's or new patient's can ask him questions to eaze there minds. His aftercare program is awesome! Dr. Aksade and Mandy, make sure you know everything there is to know before and after surgery. He is point blank about the risks and benefits of the procedures he performs. On a scale of 1-10, I rank Dr. Aksade 11+. As for his surgical competence and bedside manner they are both great! I could not have picked a more better surgeon to help me through my weight loss decision.

Dr. Aksade is a wonderful and understanding surgeon. I was so glad that he performed my gastric bypass. He gave me all the information I needed before the surgery and was very supportive after the surgery. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. He also performed my gallbladder surgery 6 months later. He is a funny, compassionate doctor not to mention he is handsome. If you are in the Lehigh Valley and want a great doctor, try giving Dr. Aksade a call or go to one of his information sessions at Easton Hospital. I'm sure he can answer all your questions and let you feel at ease if you decide to have this surgery. It will a year in July that I have had my surgery and if I had to did it all again, I would and choose Dr. Aksade again. This surgery has changed my life for the better, in fact I feel that I have a new lease on life. Thanks to Dr. Aksade and the staff at Easton Hospital.

Dr. Aksade and his staff are all WONDERFUL. I had gastric banding 2 years ago and it was semi successful. On July 12th we're going for the bypass. He sat down with me, discussed all the options and we agreed this would be best. Dr. Aksade also did a gallbladder removal for me approx. 6 months after the banding and was just as great then. There really is nothing negative I can find with either him or his staff - each and every person is fantastic. When I began having problems with the band the office staff always managed to squeeze me in that day to see him. When I had the gallbladder problems, he came right to the hospital after returning from a trip. This may sound odd, but I am really looking forward to this next surgery, I know I will be in good hands at a good hospital.

My first impression of Dr Aksade was one of confidence. He and his staff have made me feel at ease about inquiring about surgery and they have been more than helpfull answering all my questions. I was so thrilled with my consult. I cant wait to get my surgery which should be in August sometime. His assistant Ann has been wonderful and has answered all my questions and Mandy and Whitney are just as wonderful as Dr Aksade. Only GREAT things to say about my Dr and his Staff.
