DR.K, IS THE BEST.. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. HE IS VERY CONSIDERITE OF THE PATIENTS FAMILY MEMBERS, THEY ARE TAKEN CARE OF AS GOOD AS THE PATIENT. THE SUPPORT GROUPS HAVE SO MUCH INFORMATION THAT YOU LEAVE KNOWING THAT YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS.rnTHE STAFF IS NOT LIKE ANY OTHER STAFF, THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE WHEN YOU NEED THEM 24/7. INFORMATION IS OUT OF THIS WORLD, THE STAFF HAVE PUT TOGETHER SO MUCH INFO. THAT YOU UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING COMPLETLY,BUT IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING THEY WILL TAKE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD FOR YOU.I HAVE NEVER SEEN A STAFF OR A DOCTOR THAT ARE AS HUMAN AS YOU ARE. MY THANKS GOES OUT TO DR.K AND ALL OF HIS STAFF FOR LETTING MY HUSBAND LIVE A LIFE TO HIS FULLEST.IF WE WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT WE KNOW NOW, WE WOULD HAVE DONE THIS ALOT EARLIER SO MY HUSBAND WOULD HAVE SO MANY HEALTH PROBLEM LEFT. ABOUT 75% OF THE HEALTH PROBLEMS ARE GONE THANKS TO DR.K.rnTHANKS AGAIN DR.K AND STAFF.
I first met Dr. Keshishian at my consultation, I was nervous and he made me feel confident that I was in good hands. My first impression of his staff is that they are great, Michelle and Dee both have had wls and are more than happy to answer any question. Overall they are a caring staff. I'm still one week and three days pre-op so I'll write more after surgery.
Had my consult already. I feel that he is the right choice for me. He firmly believes in what he is doing, regardless of the monetary benefits of doing other types of surgery. He is also uncompromising in his aftercare and followups. I like his forwardness.rnrnDr K isn't your warm and fuzzy doc, but he sure makes you feel like he knows what he's doing. He addressed all of the risks. He encourages you to be skeptical and RESEARCH for yourself. Make sure you know what you are getting into!
Dr. K. and his staff are outstanding and have been from day one. They are always there for us at any time of day or night even after two years. Dee or Michelle will return your calls within minutes not hours. There are no negatives, just positive instruction or answers to our numerous questions. Even at the hospital Delano Regional Medical Center they have a dedicated staff that are the greatest and patient in showing you how to care for yourself post-op and during your first week/month at home. We have a monthly Support Group at the hospital on the second Tuesday of every month and it is very personalized. There is only one group totally dedicated to the obese and that is the one in Delano, CA at least from my perspective.
I am very happy with Dr. Keshishian, his staff and the hospital staff at Delano Medical Center. He is will take as much time as you need to answer every question and concern. He can be quick and abrupt if you do not have questions but all it takes is for you to say \"I was wondering....\" and he will take his time to explore all of your issues.
When I first met Dr. Keshishian, I was impressed by his easy-going demeanor and straight-forward and informative interpersonal skills. He discusses all the ins and outs of GRDS surgery. He is an intent listener...he makes sure that he addresses all patient concerns and ensures the patient fully understands his answers. He is compassionate about his work, and it shows in his strong work ethic and committment to his patients. If he's not in surgery, or doing rounds, he is traveling throughout California and Nevada to moderate all of his GRDS support groups. His energetic compassion was most clearly evident at the last support group meeting I attended in Paso Robles, CA...While two younger interns were nearly falling asleep after trying to keep up with Dr. K that day, Dr. K gave a very informative presentation on the potential of hiatal hernia, and then entertained everyone's questions. This meeting ran until 9 PM...he then had to fly his plane back to his Delano homebase. All of this after putting a full day in Delano, then flying out to Paso Robles for the support group. I have never seen Dr. K complacent about his work...he is a model surgeon. Dr. K's office staff has been very helpful and informative as well, and the nursing staff at the bariatric surgery wing at Delano Regional Medical Center are the best there is. Dr. Keshishian and his support personnel are the greatest, and I owe my new lease on life to them all!
At first I wasn't sure about him because of his Bow ties that he wears but once you talk to him you get very confortable with him. Dr. Keshishian and his office staff are really nice. After having surgery they gave me a 24 hour number where I could reach a nurse if I had any questions or problems. Before having the surgery they make sure that your well aware of the risk that go along with having WLS. Both the surgical competence and Bedside manner are really great. The overall care that I have gotten for Dr. Keshishian and his Staff was a 10 out of 10.
