Anthony Boutt Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Boutt made a very good impression on me and I felt totally comfortable with him. He is personable and friendly and took the time to go over things at great length to make sure I understood everything. I would not hesitate to recommend him to family or friend. I have not been back for a fill yet since I am barely 4 weeks post surgery, but hope the same will continue to apply in the normal office setting.

Dr.Boutt put me at ease immediately. He has continued to be kind,compassionate and support during my journey. Many times he has been very helpful in my decisions concerning my treatment and helping answer any questions I have.rnrnI would recommend him highly to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

Dr. Boutt is an AMAZING doctor, and I attribute much of my success to him. He's one of those doctors who is honestly excited to see his patients succeed. In my aftercare, he's always asking, \"What's changed?\" \"How many sizes have you dropped?\" and his face lights up when I tell him what new & exciting things I've done as I've lost weight. I never feel like a number in his office. He is a younger doctor, but extremely competent and very experienced with the LapBand. He could teach a thing or two to some other doctors out there! I liked his no-nonsense approach at the seminar I attended. He's very factual and doesn't try to \"sell\" you a surgery. He tells it like it is - good, bad, ugly - THIS IS THE BAND. I loved that, and it's what made me choose him. I can't tell you how many surgeons I researched. I spent LITERALLY a year researching both RNY and then Band. An awesome surgeon, an incredible staff - the Port Huron facility, I feel is THE place to go for the LapBand procedure. My only negative is that he only does fills on Tuesdays so if you live far away or out of state, it can be a problem having to come in midweek for follow-up care. .

Dr. Boutt is incredible! From the very first meeting I knew he was the right choice for me. He took the time to talk to me, see if I had any questions, answered my questions and treated me like I was his only patient. I didn't feel rushed or like a number. The staff at Port Huron is great too! They have been doing Lap Bands for several years now and the staff works like a well oiled machine and they are all very personable and friendly. I couldn't be happier with the choice to go to Port Huron!

Dr. Bout is a very good looking man.....so it made it a little hard for me to let him see me the way I was. lol But he is an awesome young doctor. At first I was worried because he does look so young....but I absolutely LOVED him. He is a great surgeon and a wonderfull doctor. His staff was wonderfull to. Whenever I had a question one of his nurses would call me back and was always caring and curtious. They have been very supportive through my whole process and always made me feel great. His aftercare program was wonderfull.....his nurses called me a lot to see how i was doing. And when I did let myself get dehydrated, they had me come in and fixed me right up. Whenever I called I always got a call back right away, from either the office staff or Doctor Boutt himself. I would go to him again in a heart beat and would recomend him to anyone who wants to loose weight and feel good about themselves while doing it. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are awesome.

'Dr. Boutt is extremely intelligent and knowledgable of the human body. He is very kind and thourough. I will recommend him to anyone trying to beat the battle with obesity...or in need of any other surgery. He is a brilliant man. Dr Boutt made me feel comfortable right awat when we met and answered all of my questions thourghly. He is very experienced with this type of surgery. So I was confident that when he performed the Lap Band surgery on me it would be a success. The staff has been very friendly and compassionate. Dr. Boutt is very big on after care and gives you a 24 hour card to call for any problems. He also has a support group for bandsters. I am so glad I made the decision to have the band and I would not have wanted another surgeon.

Dr. Boutt and his staff were great from begining to end. He never seemed rushed or in a hurry and answered all my questions at my consultation. Even the day of surgery when he came out to talk to me he sat down and was willing to answer anything I or my wife had to ask. The Lap Band program at Port Huron is very structured and I feel provides TONS of support.
I found Dr.Boutt to be an all around great doctor. If I know of someone looking into this surgery I will not hesitate to recomend him!!
The one and only thing I would change is that I didn't see Dr.Boutt at all after surgery. I would have liked for him to have made an appearance after my surgery was complete.
Still an overall great Dr.

My first impression of Dr. Boutt was a good one. He was polite, kind, and very good looking! I had one consult with him before the surgery and saw him briefly during my hospital stay. He was very honest about the risks & options to lap band surgery. I felt he was sincerely concerned about my well being and very professional. Honestly though, I did not see him very much. His office staff was very helpful and I have no complaints about them.

Aftercare is pretty much just giving information and instructions. I was told to call their office any time day or night with any problems or questions.

I would rate him A+++. Even the nursing and support staff at the hospital all complimented on what a great doctor he is. That says a lot about hime because they work with him more closely. His surgical competence and bedside manner were both excellent, however I did not talk with him much before or after the surgery. This is the only thing I would change if I could. It would have been more reassuring if he had taken time to talk more with me before & after.

Dr. Boutt is young and very friendly. Overtime I was just more reassured that he was a great doctor. The office staff was helpful and very friendly. Dr. Boutt is very busy but he has many people doing aftercare. Dr. Boutt came in after surgery in the recovery room. I was seen by another doctor later in the day and then Dr. Boutt once more in the evening. Nurses and staff were great at Port Huron Hospital. The aftercare is very structured with a two week follow-up with staff and dietician. I will get my first fill about 8 weeks out. I understood all the risks of surgery and would rate Dr. Boutt A+ for this surgery overall.As far as surgical comptetence vs. bedside manner, I never really had to consider which was more inportant because I feel Dr. Boutt has an abundance of both.
