Very nice looking. A little reserved but I felt very comfortable with him. Staff was absolutely wonderful. The staff at River West was wonderful also (with the exception of one). Dr. Hargroder seems to take great pride in his work and wants to ensure it is performed correctly the first time. He has a wonderful track record. Since I was from out of town, the aftercare was given to me in writing and I have had no problems. I would like to have had more information about dieting prior to my surgery but I was able to find info I need on this website. He did explain the risks to me and offered me options. I would recommend Dr. Hargroder to anyone!!!!
My first impression of Dr. Hargroder was a good one. I'd heard about him, of course, as I had done extensive research on him. He came into the room in surgical scrubs and COWBOY boots, yes BOOTS with scrubs! I cracked up. He was very kind, knowledgeable and patient. I met him at NeWeigh, not at his office, so at first I didn't know about his office staff. The staff at NeWeigh was/is the best. Peggy is so supportive and wonderful, I can't say enough good things about her and the rest of the gals there. Peggy told me about the Support Group on Wednesday nights and I started going before I ever had surgery. I'm so glad I did. I am now 6 months post op and I still go every week! I've met some wonderful people and the support is great. Even though I felt like I knew everything I needed to know when I got there, they gave me more information and I felt informed NOT overwhelmed. I can't say enough good things about Dr. H and the staff at NeWeigh.
I can't really comment much on Dr. Hargroder due to the fact that I had very little interaction with him personally.
I met with him for my initial consultation and everything else was handled by his office staff.
The next time I spoke with Dr. Hargroder was after I had surgery. And, he was doing his rounds.
I think I spoke with his PA more than him.
So, I can't really comment much.
My Surgery was a success. His office staff is wonderful. And my hospital stay was excellent.
I would recommend him to anyone I know that is having surgey!!!
Well, I have changed from Dr. Gary Stevens in Lafayette to Dr. Andrew Hargroder in Baton Rouge (Plaquemine). The funny, yet good, thing about his program is that the medical group that he works under (he uses two actually) does most of their stuff online. I won't physically meet Dr. Hargroder until one-two days prior to surgery. Well update - I met Dr. Hargroder and he has lived up to everything that others have said about him. The man is wonderful and caring, and his staff is just awesome. I would recommend anyone I knew to him. Even his nurses had surgery the same time I did, and if your nurses is willing to let you work on them - that says a lot. He is wonderful and truly a blessed surgeon. I rate him at 100%.
Dr.H and his staff are wonderful!! Not to mention he is easy on the eyes!! He is very good at explaining everything to you and does not make you feel like anything you ask is trivial. I would totally trust him again if I had to. He is a very busy doctor, but makes sure to stop by to see you and makes sure his staff is aware of all of your needs.
