Andrew Averbach Bariatric Surgeon M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S.

My first conversations with Dr. Averbach and his staff were wonderful. Cathy and Arlene were kind and compassionate. Dr Averbach was not the first surgeon I had met with. Actually he was my third. I took comfort in the fact that Dr Averbach seemed to be more honest with me than any of the others. He took the time to go over complications, no matter how rare, that I had neve previously been told about. He also explained to me what he would do in each potential situation. so there will be no surprises. Over all my experience was that of comfort and caring.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Averbach. My first visit with him was extensive. He spent quite some time with me. Dr. Averbach's office staff is excellent. I usually deal with Brandy, who is always friendly and informative. Brandy is very knowledgeable and helpful. Carol is nice too. Dr. Averbach was great in the hospital and I have been pleased with every office visit.

Dr. Linhardt was very nice and supportive. The only down fall is he doesn't partcipate with insurance companies and will charge 10.000 up front and my insurance will reimburse me. After surgery.

My first appointment is 3/26/03. I'm pretty excited, does anybody know anything I can do to speed the process up?
