Dr. Gandsas was very personable on my initial visit and has been kind and attentive ever since.rnrnThe staff is great, no long waits to see the doctor. I can tell that the office is very organized.rnrnI do wish that they had more flexible office hours, but most doctors do not have Saturday hours or work past 5pm so you adjust as neededrnrnWe had group sessions before surgery and after surgery there are support group meeting to attend.rnrnI was impressed with the initial presentation about Bariatric surgery and the doctor was very frank about the risks of surgery and those risks associated with obesity.rnrnI would rate the doctor EXCELLENT and it shows in his staff.rnrnI prefer surgical competence and thankfully Dr Gandsas was both competent and had a pleasant bedside manner.rnrnI honestly don't have anything negative to say about the doctor, my experiences with him and the office have been great

My first impression of Dr. Gansas was that I was confident and comfortable with having him do my surgery. Once I met his staff I know that they were also on the ball and that I would have the best care. He provided me with the best personsl care from the office staff to the nursing and dietary evryone had my interest at heart. My stay in the hospital was wonderful, I didn't want to go home. rnrnI don't consider the staff just staff they treated me like a friend or a member of the family. I can call them any time with my concerns and they had a genuine interest in me. It's all about me and they make me feel that it is.rnrnI noticed one other thing about Dr. Gansas, he is passinate about weight loss and the danger of obesity. He explains everything in detail and ease. I wish all of my doctors were like him. He also has a good sense of humor, something else I need as a person. Laugter is healing.rnrnI love Dr. Gansas and my Sinai family.

Overall I would rate him as an excellent surgeon, he has both bedside manner and competence. the only thing I can say negative is that he scheduels surgery very fast

Dr. Gandsas performed my surgery on Mon. Dec. 11 and everything went wonderful. The amount of pain I was in was bearable and with meds I didn't feel anything. I was able to get up and walk the night of my surgery and was surprised that I could walk normally without a lot of discomfort. He and his robot, Bari came to see me frequently the next day. I was able to come home on Tues. with just gas pain. Nancy is extremely helpful doing this process and she's always available for questions. The whole processs went extremely smooth and I would recommend Dr. G and his staff to anyone.

Dr. Gandsas was very warm and kind. He was very specific about what I had to do in order to have a successful surgery and recovery. His staff was excellent. Sinai Hospital was very helpful during my surgery. They have a great attitude toward recovery and reducing pain after surgery. I had laproscopic gastric bypass on 12/14/06. On 12/20/06 first appt I had lost 8 lbs! Dr. Gandsas was so excited for me and did a good follow up. He was competent and described all the risks of surgery and postop complications. I would rate him a ten. And my scars are healing well and are minimal. My recovery was light and I was up and about in a day or so with minimal pain. And he was very careful to say that everyone has different side effects from surgery and recovery. This is my own personal experience and impressions. Each person has different goals and may have different experiences.

My first impression of Dr. Gandsas was that he was a quiet, reserved, strong, knowlegeable and confident person. He believes in educating all of his patients of all aspects of the surgery before, after and into the future. He is truely an expert in his field. The program he has designed with Sinai Hospital is all encompassing. Everything that you would need to make a proper decision with the research and statistics to back it up. rnrnHis staff is EXCEPTIONAL, competetant, helpful, thorough, and very quick in answering questions. The best office staff that I have ever had contact with.rnrnThere isn't any one thing that I can dislike about Dr. Gandsas or his staff. rnrnFuture patients should know that Dr. Gandsas will have your best interest at heart and will give you the instructions and directions you need to be a success. rnrnAfter care is strongly encouraged with plenty of information is given, as well as directions and instructions provided for you. All you need to do is follow instructions and be willing to do the work required.rnrnDr. Gandsas went over all of his statistics concerning the surgeries including all risks including possible problems up to and including death. Any question you had, he would answer.rnrnI would give Dr. Gandsas a 10!!!! He is the best surgeon and has the entire program taylored for patient success from beginning to end.rnrnSurgical competence and beside manner are both very important. I feel Dr. Gandsas has both. rnrnI did everything Dr. Gandsas reccommended me to do and I feel I have all of the tools to be successful with this weight loss surgery. This is last thing I will ever have to do to help me get back to a healthy weight, get my mobility back, be free of weight related illnesses, not have to take multiple prescriptions to maintain health, and overall get my life back. I owe my future success to Dr. Gandsas and his staff. rnrnI sincerly, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My surgeon has provided a very professional, informative & helpful pre-op,post-op condition. The support staff(nutristionist, nurses) is very enthusastic, helful & resposive to emails. The surgery went very smoothly(laproscopic) & today, 9 days out from surgery I feel great. Sinai Hospital where my surgery was performed has a bariactic ward just for us that is very bariacticaly geared for our specific needs. It has state -of- the art tools including a 4 ft high robot w/ screen that tours the ward in which you talk to Dr. Gandsas live & look @ him on a screen as he looks @ you thru a camera. This is in addition to several times a day person to person contact with him. Dr. Gandsas is a very confident, friendly surgeon who has provided me with terrific surgical skills & courteous attention to my needs & questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Gandsas & the bariactic program he has @ Sinai Hospital to anyone.
