I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr.Posner. I cant even begin to say how amazing he is. My first impression was that he is very easy to talk to and loves helping people. He was very excited to hear my story and very supportive and realistic. I didnt feel like I was at a doctors appointment. He never makes you feel like you are just another patient or that your bugging him with dumb questions. I have been a patient of his for almost 6 months now and my impression of him have only gotten better. His office staff is also very helpful. His personal secretary (one who schedules) was however the only negative thing about my whole experience, but once you can get past her you are golden! I would not however let that refect on Dr.Posner negatively. I honestly dont think he knows how rude she was. There is nothing I can say bad about him or how he did my surgery. With that said, if you are contemplating surgery and are in Dr.Posners area I HIGHLY reccommend him :)

Highly recomment Dr. Posner. Very honest and upfront with you from the beginning. Makes sure you understand everything that is explained. The staff at the clinic is also wonderful. They are all there for YOU. I have no regrets at all with the surgery I had. Dr. Posner explained pros and cons of what I initially wanted and because of that changed the surgery type to have because of safety risks for me. He did not just say ok thats what you want, thats what you will get, and I am thankful for him not being like that. He was all for my health and well being. Thank you again Dr. Posner.

I have not actually had surgery yet(hence only 4 stars) but so far Dr. Posner and his team have been awesome. He is super personable, yet realistic with the risks, benefits, and expectations of the VSG. I will certainly update after my surgery on the 26th!

Update...I am 6 days post op and just saw Dr. Posner for my 1 week visit. I love that guy. He's super personable, has excellent bed side manner, and is all about you! His expectations are in black and white and he will answer any question honestly and completely.

I had lap band surgery on Jan. 18th, 2011. Dr. Posner is very upfront. I like that about him. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Others, well let's just say they don't seem to want a job.
If I had to do it all over again, Dr. Posner would be the surgeon, no questions asked.

I liked Dr. Posner the minute i met him. He is kind and considerate. He tells you exactly how things will be. He pulls know punches.
My impression never changed with him. He always the same person, very happy and polite.
Most of the office staff are very nice. Some are very professional.
You can always count on him day or night. He is always concerned about his patients. He strongly emphasizes after care. Any problems no matter what call him and always let his staff know right away. Yes he does have a structured after care. He puts you on a eating plan and empasizes that strongly. The address the risks very highly and right to the point. If I had to do this all over again and what I know about Dr. Posner I would choose him again without a doubt. Everything about Dr. Posner is fantastic surgical competence and bedside manner. My experience with Dr. Posner has been wonderful. I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

I was banded on 5-9-06 and had a few problems after surgery, stomache pains. I called Dr. Posner on Mothers Day and he told me to go to the Hospital(BGH). Dr. Posner came into the Hospital to make sure I was ok and to put my mind at ease. I had my first visit after the seminar in February and everything went so smooht and their office was a great help. I think the thing that I most like about Dr. Posner is confidence in himself and his ablities as a surgeon. I really can't say anything that I didn't like about him or his staff. Aftercare is very important in this type of surgery or any bariatric surgery he preforms. If you won't comply with what he is requesting prior to surgery it will not be preformed!! I was very informed about the risks and possible complications after surgery. I woud rate him a 12 out of 10. I would reccomend Dr. Posner to anyone, even someone in my family. Dr. Posner is the best so if that is what you are looking for he is the man!!!!!!!!!!

I liked Dr.Posner from the start. He makes you go though so much stuff to get the date and at first I was put off by it but then after a few months of doing the South Beach it finally clicked why he wanted me to go though this. Once you do all the \"red tape\" stuff you get the date right away. I will be going on the 30th of December. To date I have lost 24lbs and he came in and gave me a hug. That to me made him even better. I like the fact he knows his stuff and lets you know without coming off as a jerk. lolrnI like his staff. They are a great group of people to joke around with. The one weigh in lady is so funny but she is quick to let you know your not doing so good if you gained weight.rnI have referred many of my friends who are looking into some WLS to give him a try. I'm very grateful to Dr.Posner.rnI will do a follow up once everything is done.rnGood luck to looking for a WLS surgeon.

My first impression of Dr. Posner was that he is a \"no-B.S.\" kind of guy. I dig that. It takes a while to get through all of the pre-cautionary red-tape, that's really the only negative I can think of, but once you get to see Dr. Posner (after the informational seminar that he and his partner, Dr. Forbes host), the bloodwork, psych evaluation, sleep tests, other tests, meeting with nurse, dietician, and physical therapist), things move really quickly. Dr. Posner's program is very strict and is for serious patients only; flaking out on an appointment or not following the program is *not* tolerated. Dr. Posner is there to help us and he reserves his and his staffs' time to patients who are serious about making a life change. He is very easy to talk to and answered every question I had thoroughly. I trusted him with my life and he delivered. I'm 6 weeks post op and have lost a total of 52 pounds; 27 pounds for the 5 months pre surgery on South Beach, and 25 pounds in the 6 weeks since surgery. I cannot express how kind Dr. Posner is. He wants nothing but great success for his patients and it shows. He clearly explained the surgery (bypass) and the risks and aftercare to me, my Husband, and even my Mother. There is a structured after-care program and regular check ins. There is also a monthly support group that his office organizes. I had to page Dr. Posner once in the evening when I had a horrible reaction to a tiny piece of chicken that I eaten. He phoned me back immediately and explained what was happening and how to deal with it; he also told me to phone him back at any time that I was concerned about anything; even if it's 2 am. He said that's what he is here for and told me never to feel bad about calling him. His office staff is great; personable and knowledgable. Dr. Posner's confidence put me at ease. I believe he is an incredibly gifted surgeon and to date he has not lost a patient due to the either the gastric bypass or the lapband (knocks on wood for the future). Overall, Dr. Posner gets 5 stars from me; a 100/100; an A+.

So far so good... I like his style, his straight-forwardness, no pussy-footing around... tells the risks out right, and you follow his program or you leave. I really like the fact that he listened to my questions and answered them in a way I understood without talking down to me; and he asked me if I had any more questions for him... WOW!rnrnDr Posner in Buffalo at Buffalo General Hospital is about the best thing that has ever happened to me! Had my WLS on Tuesday May 8th and was released on Thursday......all the staff who looked after me were the best!!!!! And I mean everyone, from the housekeeping lady who came in to empty the garbage pail to the Drs...eveyone asked me if I was ok, did I need anything, would I like to see a nurse...etc etc.rnrnI'm impressed. Very impressed with the \"perfect\" WLS surgery I had in Dr Posner's hands to the followup he did during rounds to the greatest nursing team ever! rnrnOh, and canucks. If you're doing your \"due diligence\" and searching for a Dr for the WLS, then please do consider Dr Posner. OHIP works with them, and they're the ones I chose and I'm so ever happy that I did!rnrnThanks once again Dr Posner! Your skilll has given me back my life! WooHoo... I'm on my way!
