I commend Dr. Fernandez and his team for the great surgery and support they provided to me. The staff walked me through all the steps leading up to the surgery and made sure I understood thoroughly what to expect.

Dr. Fernandez and his staff are fabulous. I was having problems with my lap band that was placed by a different doc. And Dr. F jumped right in there and said let's take it out and fix ya. So I had surgery Mon. 5/23/11. The surgery was a great success, so thnakful for a great doctor.

Dr. Fernandez impressed me from the moment i met him. his bedside manner is excellent and he put me at ease immediately. I was one of Dr. Fernandez's youngest patients (age 22 then) and i hope that i have made him proud! He is a gift to the world and i could never thank him enough for how he changed my life. Dr. Fernandez also removed my gallbladder around one year post-op. Again, no complications. It says below that no person can be the "best" but honestly, i cant think of ONE negative thing to say about Dr. Fernandez or his work. He is the best! :)

Dr. Alfredo Fernandez is awsome. He is one of the best at what he does as well as the best bedside manner. He genuinly cares about his pt's. His office staff is great.Everyone has been great. He has an aftercare regimine to follow.He has dieticians available,meetings,therapists you name it.H e has access to all of that any step of the way like I said they are wonderful. I would reccomend him to anyone.

Dr Fernandez is amazing. I have been a Paramedic for 20 years and I have been around my share of physicians and this man is incredible. I had absolutely no complications from my surgery and I was back to full duty in 3 weeks. I cannot say enough about him as a person and as a physician.

Dr. Fernandez is a very warm and friendly guy, he is very informative, and doesn't tip toe around the hard facts. He is consistent in his care and attention from the first second you walk in the door until your surgery and beyond. Dr. Fernandez has the best staff in the world. His beautiful wife Martha, and other staff members are also extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Every visit to the office, is a long wait so bring a book, but it's like visiting old friends. I wish Dr. Fernandez was less busy, though that happens when your the best. His office is always packed with pre-ops and post-ops so the wait even with an appointment is very very very very long. I have waited two hours past my appointment time to see him for about 10 minutes. This is the only thing I would like to see changed about his office. If you are considering Dr. Fernandez you made the right decision, you won't find a better WLS surgeon. You aren't just a number, Dr. Fernandez will take care of you. He requires you too see him monthly post-op and to get labs done. Anytime I have had an important issue after hours, while he is away, he always manages to find time to get a hold of me and help. Dr. Fernandez makes his informational seminar the first requirement before you even step in his office. You must know what RNY or Lap Band is and know the benefits and the risks. He does not sugar coat anything, you will leave informed. Dr. Fernandez gets five stars for excellent service, loving and caring nature, excellent office and staff, and a new family. Dr. Fernandez is equally gifted in his surgical competence and beside manner.

Dr. Fernandez is a very warm-hearted man with a great bedside manner.rnrnI first met him at general information seminar and immediately felt a connection with him. Of course, this grew each time I met him.rnrnI just saw him last week for my final appointment prior to my operation on Oct. 30 2008 and he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek when I left. He reassured me that he will take good care of me. rnrnThe office staff is wonderful - I've spoken with Martha the most - and she has been a great help getting my surgery approved in a timely fashion. rnrnDr. Fernandez comes highly recommended - especially for laparoscopical surgery.

Dr. Fernandez has been awesome. He has a very good bedside manner. Him and his staff treat you like family. I think Tampa Bariatrics has a wonderful program. They definitely recommend that you attend the patient led support groups. I definitely give Dr. F a 10.
