Walter Cha Bariatrics Bariatric Center
When I First met Dr. Cha, as with some of the other post mentioned about him, I can agree I was taken back by how young he was. Not necessarily in a negative way, more so in a impressed frame of mind. He was about business and made sure that it was clear that you knew what you were going to be getting into. Another thing that I can say about Dr. Cha is that his personality seemed to be very consistent. Even when I tried to crack a joke, he gently led my side conversation back to the topic of the moment. I was glad because despite his hectic schedule his youth gave him the vitality and energy to make it to my room on multiple visits after the surgery.
Another quick mention; from the nursing staff to house cleaning all assured me that things were find in the hands of Dr. Cha. They seemed as impressed with this an as I was.
When you walk into an office and see it surrounded and employed by a bunch of pretty woman, most people generally assumed the worse. However the women that run the office literally do just that; run that office. There is nothing that escapes there attention, and they work hard in making sure that paperwork is completed, and the appointments are kept, and that patients have a general feeling of support through challenging battles. I mean even in my loneliest hours of uncertainness, I knew that there was someone in the office burning just as bright as I was to seek insurance approval, or answer my many questions as accurately as possible.
Aftercare
I am actually going through that now, and I can say from the experience of others who were treated by Dr. Cha I anticipate that the service is going to be as fantastic, and the experience of the surgery was.
I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH DR. CHA. HE SEEM TO BE A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE MAN. HE WAS EXTREMELY POSTIVE ABOUT MY DECISION ON THE SURGERY. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT DR. CHA IS THAT HE EXPLAINS AND ANSWER ANY QUESTION YOU MIGHT HAVE. HIS STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND EVERYONE MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE.
My first impression, honestly, was that he is young and cute.
I soon realized that he was all business and seemed to be very knowledgable.
His office staff members were all wonderful.
The thing I liked least was that he is the kind of Doc. who would have cancelled my surgery, if I had not lost weight pre-op, and I think we should be told that.
Future patients (see above)
I believe he has a really solid aftercare plan. He eventually tosses it to my PCP, which I think is great.
He is just starting up a support group.
He addressed all of the surgical risks, head on and was very honest about the general risks and my personal risks.
I would give his high rates overall. I decided to have the surgery in November, got my first apt in Dec. and an early Feb. surgery date.
