Wade Nazari, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
I have not personally met Dr. Naziri yet. I have heard very positive reports about him and have spoken to the PACU nurses about who they like in referenced to this procedure. His name came up more often than his partners'. That's a good sign! He has a wonderful office staff and I have worked with some of them in a former MD office. rnrnI am a former CICU nurse and truly desire competence BUT I lost my son 5/4/06. He was brutally murdered and was my only child so, at this time, I want a surgeon who is extremely competent but very capable of giving warm fuzzies! I need this now...rnThe surgeon who did my cancer surgery in October of 2004, Dr. Nick Habal, is this way and if he did GOP surgery, I would be at his office ASAP. He made me feel as if I truly mattered. This is of major importance to me.
when I first met Dr. Nazari he was very nice and funny. He made me feel comfortable about having surgery. rnrnMy impression of Dr. Nazzari has not change. rnrnHe he tuff about you taking care of yourself after surgery (which is good). rnrnHis office staff is very helpful. rnrnThere is nothing that I dislike about Dr. Nazari. rnrnFuture patients need to know about Dr. Nazari is that he is a good and tuff doctor. He is very concern about your health before and after surgery. rnrnDr. Nazzari emphasize the importance of you taking care of yourself after surgery and make sure you are eating the correct foods.rnrnDr. Nazzari wants to see you two weeks after surgery, 4 weeks after, 3 months after, 6 months after, one year after and then once a year for the rest of your life.rnrnDr. Nazzari was very upfront about all the risk of surgery. rnrnI would rate Dr. Nazzari a 10.rnrnDr. Nazzari is best at surgery and bedside manner.
As of 1-27-06, I have only interacted with his office staff. I found them to be extremely pleasant and knowledgible about the process & procedure. I called today, 2-9-06 to let Christina know I still didn't have appts for the 3 appts they were to schedule. She said she would get on it and I received a call from one of those offices with 3 hrs to schedule. I am pleased with that. Met Dr Naziri on 3/3/06. He was very nice and I was very relaxed talking with him. He explained everything. I feel very confident in my choice. rn*UPDATE 11-24-06, couldn't be more happy with my choice of surgeon's.rn*UPDATE 1-12-07, After WLS, I have since had to have my gallbladder removed. Dr N did this surgery as well and I had an easy time of it. Very pleased.
My first impression of Dr. Naziri is that he isn't the type to dance around tough subjects -- he gives it to you straight. He was very clear that the majority of your post-surgical outcome depends on you following the rules and taking care of yourself. rnrnThe office staff seemed very considerate, however not as organized as they could have been. There seemed to be hold ups with getting my insurance approval, even though all my testing and information was complete. rnrnDr. Naziri is an excellent surgeon & I am very pleased with the results. If you are thinking about becoming a patient, just remember that he does require you to follow the post-op rules in order to have your surgery. He will not sugarcoat the risks of surgery or make the outcome sounds like a fairy tale that takes no effort on your part. rnrnAftercare is structured with follow up appts. with the office and nutritionist. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great and I'd recommend him to anyone in the NC area looking to have surgery. Just be sure to keep up on the office staff if things seem to be taking too long.
I was so happy to have Wade Naziri as my surgeon. I had my surgery on May 8th so I just started the journey. I know there are wonderful things ahead of me.
Dr. Naziri is a very competent surgeon. He has a special interest in obesity surgery. He has a great bedside manner and makes sure you are well informed of the risks. He will take all the time needed to explain any questions you may have and doesn't rush you. His office has monthly support group meetings and he will follow up to see if you are attending these. His nurse/office manager and dietician attend each one. He has guest speakers such as a plastic surgeon at some of the meetings and wls patients at all stages of this journey speak up at all meetings. Meetings are very informative. If you are a smoker it is required that you quit before surgery. He also requires a 2 week strict high protein low carb diet. He will ask you on the day of surgery if you have adhered to these requirements and if you tell him no to any of these he will cancel your surgery and send you home. He tells you this up front on the first visit. He wants you to make the best of this life style change and tells you the surgery is only a tool and he wants you to eat right and excercise daily for the rest of your life. He informs you of what weight is normal for you but makes no promises that you will reach ideal weight. He tells you that everyone is individual and will lose at there own pace and be at a much healthier weight in the end.
Dr.Nazari is a wonderful surgeon. He has a great bedside manner and makes you feel you are very important to him. He is a cheerleader for you results and I always look forward to my visits with him. There is nothing at all I can think of negative to say about him or his staff. They are all very helpful and accomadating. He does a wonderful job and is very thourough about his job. He has a support group set up once a month for his patients or anyone who is thinking of having the surgery. He brings in different people to talk about topics of interest. One of the most interesting was the plastic surgeon Dr. Lynn Garrison who came in an spoke about different procedures that could be done to address the skin problem. I had one friend who went to him who had some problems but it turned out that is was her gallbladder. I am not sure why it took so long to figure it out. She said he told her to get it checked and she didn't so it would seem to me that it would be her fault for not checking it out. Overall he is wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone.
My impression of him was that he was very intellegent and that he was good at what he do. His office staff was very positive and knowlegeable on what was going on in the office. The funny thing to me was that he was the first doctor that I ever came in contact with that I didn't have a negetive vibe about. If you are considering the surgery I think that Dr. WADE NAZARI would be a great doctor to keep in mind because I feel that he is one that's concerned more about his patients then the money and it really shows in him. THANK YOU
