I am 1 week Post Op. My surgeon was fantastic. I felt that I was in good hands with her and I feel she did an excellent job on all fronts. Unfortunately the help you receive from this clinic afterwards is nothing short of disappointing. I was told they would be there every step of the way to make sure I had the tools I needed and the answers I needed to succeed. Upon calling with an issue post operatively, I was told to call my primary doctor. Who then told me I needed to discuss with my surgeon. My first week post op appointment I was doing everything I was told to, following everything I needed and I felt I was doing well. I've lost nearly 20lbs already. But instead the NP belittled me and insulted me the entire time and any questions I asked she made me feel like I was an idiot. My paperwork had the wrong dates on it and had wrong information on when to advance my diet. This conflicted with the information my dietitian gave me. When I called my nurse to double check this, nobody calls me back. I spoke with a friend of mine who is a few years post op from this surgery at this same clinic told me he is not surprised with the way I was treated. Unfortunately, I've only met ONE good/knowledgeable/caring/good bedside mannor nurse in this clinic. The rest need a lesson in the basics of health care customer service.
