Dr. Myers is a very caring man and has always made a point to make me feel comfortable. During the initial seminar for Freshstart Bariatrics, he made all of us feel that we were important and that our lives were worth saving. He is a wonderful man! The freshstart program is a very organized group and provides all aspects of pre and post care. They also handle the insurance quickly and effeciently. They took care of everything.
I love my surgeon and his team!!!!!rnHe seemed tough at first but I realized that he has to be. This isn't a game. This is life or death. I really do love my surgeon. He is the best and his staff always makes themselves available any way that they can. I love Nyeesha his Exec Asst!! I can not say enough good about this team or Temple Hosp.
In the beginning, I felt like cattle being hurded through the pasture. I now realize this is an epidemic, and lots of people need help. The staff is a little shorthanded. I feel as the patients increase, the staff must adjust as well. I feel that nutrition should be more focalized so patients can better understand the new way of life. It is a rebirth, point blank. Doctor Tichansky does his best to make each patient get an understanding of the risk, explanation of the different WLS and there end results, and knows who is committed and who is not. Overall, I love Doctor T. I wish he had more time for me, however, I am a spoiled brat! LOLOLOL!!!!
Dr. Myers totally rocks...so does his staff. Everybody is so helpful and really want you to understand the process and feel comfortable with the procedure they choose to have. rnrnI was surprised when I went to the seminar that he was actually doing the presentation and that before he started that he went around the room and introduced himself and had a short conversation with everyone. rnrnI really like the structure of the program and how they have a one day appointment where you go through the first steps of qualifying for the surgery. At the pre-op appointment they give you everything you need for after surgery and explain again what is going to happen during surgery. rnrnHis assistant Mike totally rocks as well, he explains the importance of following the pre surgery diet (which is not very tasty!! and he tells you that too...) but it is important to do it, cause if you don't, your surgery can be changed and you certainly don't want to have to do it twice!! rnrnIt was and still is a great experience and there is no doubt in my mind that i made the right choice. I have two friends who had it bypass surgery and they wished that they had gone to Dr. Myers.
Just wanted to say that Dr. Meilahn is wonderful. He takes his time with you and answers any questions that you might have. His office staff was always willing to answer any questions that you might have. I really liked that everyone took there time with me and didn't rush me out. All risks were outlined before I even stepped into the OR. I would recommend Dr. M to anyone who is considering WLS. Very patient with me.
Dr. Myers is a wonderful surgeon. His staff is very efficient and caring. They take you through a step by step process to get you through the insurance mess and to the surgery. The after care is great! They take the whole team approach. I really felt like everyone cared about my outcome and how I was feeling. Each type of surgery was thoroughly explained and risks involved. He even went over all the risks in detail as well as how the WLS surgery would personally benefit all my conditions. The drinks he gave afterward tasted good (Proti) and easy to drink. His instructions and nutritionist were very helpful. I'm so glad I picked him.rn
Dr. Myers is a caring, compassionate doctor. He is very complete at appointments. He has a long history in completing RNY sugerys. Dr. Myers program is comprehensive. It includes: dietican, psyc, and medical before and after. It also includes a fitness program at a local health club. The more I get to know Dr. Myers I have to say that he gets more compassionate and caring. I had to have my gallbladder out in May '07 and lucky for me he decided to do the surgery. Normally he only does GBS's but he chose to do my surgery. He is very concerned with his patients health and recovery before and after surgery. I have also found out that he has a very good sense of humor and is very personable.
Dr. Myers is great. He is very caring. He is also very much into no pain. I never had any pain after my procedure only mild soreness. His staff is also very caring and friendly. Only negative thing I had was lady in financial department has too many distractions and interruptions to give you full attention. Insisted she told me about costs that I was not aware of until it was too late.
