I like him very much and I have great trust and faith in him. Dr. Scott has a fantastic staff.

I seen Dr Scott only at my post op 1 week visit.rnI did not see him the day of surgery, before, after and upon discharge, the house Dr of DePaul discharged me. I wouldve liked to have seen him more but oh well--I did fine!rnrnI was in the step down unit of the ICU for a day---the nurses there wasnt versed very well in us Bariatric patients, I had to educate sone of them. But there overall care of me was excellent--I never had to wait for them when I pushed for the nurse to come except one time--But I could hear 2 people getting sick--so I could wait!!!rnrnIm pleased with my surgery and at the expertise Dr Scott obviously has/had !rnrnI would do the WLS all over again!

I really haven't met Dr. De La Torre face to face, but I have been to his seminar. Very soft-spoken and was poise in explaining about the procedure.

I first met Dr. De La Torre around May 2007 at his seminar at DePaul Hospital. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. He had been doing this surgery for over 10 years and I was very impressed with him and his staff.rnI officially meet with him on September 26, 2007 for Post Op.rnDepaul emphasis aftercare as essential to the programs success.rnDe La Torre did address the risks of surgery and the risks if not having surgery.rnI would highly rate him at this time.

My first impression was, \"My God, she is so young!\" I had originally wanted Dr. Scott because of his reputation and his clinic times. The staff asked me to meet her and see what I thought. After spending more time with her in the first consultation, I was sold. Dr. Fearing is warm and has a great sense of humor; she did not talk down to me and even shared some personal information. On the way out that day, I decided she was going to be my surgeon. On the second visit, she was just as she was the visit before but she was efficient it letting me know all of the risks. I am having surgery in a couple of days, so I'll post after that to talk about surgery and post-op care (which she and the rest of the clinical staff really super big on). The office staff have always treated me very well and Leslie, the insurance guru, was fabulous. Natalie, the nurse, is great and her mantra is \"Don't make me hunt you down.\" She wants to be called with any problems you have whether before the surgery, in the hospital, or post-op. The dietician is great and is working with me on my vegetarian diet. Support groups are led by RN, dietician, or psychologist. So far, all I can say is FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS! They have hired a Bariatrician to help us with diet and exercise issues. One negative, the four hour class was more like five and a half.

Dr. De la torre, his staff, and the hospital care was all just great. I had a pancrease attack afterwards and other than the er, I had excellent care. His nurses are wonderful and at nearly a yr out now, they are still only a phone call away at all times. I have grown to love them all!!

My first impression of Dr. Fearing was that she was a kind and caring person, which has become more apparent as time goes by. I had my surgery on June 19th. Dr. Fearing is GREAT! I would recommend her to everyone! rnThe office staff is nice though one or two can be a little testy at times. I recommend getting copies of all your paperwork and carry them to every visit. Hand deliver everything, and get the name of the person you gave it to, and when. My packet had to be submitted 3 times, only to find out that they already had it. This slowed my process down. As for Dr. Fearing, I could not complain about her one bit. She emphasizes after care extensively with its importance. She sat down with me and went over every detail of the risks of surgery. Even though I felt comfortable with the risks already, she wanted to make sure I understood completely. On a scale from 1-10 I give Dr. Fearing a 10+++. As for as her bedside manner and surgical competence, she excels in both. She takes time to answer all your questions and she proved to me that she was very competent in her field. I really can not find one thing I did not like about her. she is carring, non-critical, understanding, and informative. She may have her flaws, but I did not see them.

My first impression- felt he was very knowlegeable and professional!rnrnImpression still the same.rnrnHis office staff- Some of the most helpful and pleasant people I ever met in a clinic. Very busy office!rnrnLike least about him- Felt rushed at first appointment. Wanted to talk more.rnrnWhat to know about him- He is a excellent surgeon with excellent experience.rnrnAftercare- He feels that it is extremely important to continue your after care and to call with any questions or problems.rnrnStructured Aftercare- Yes, you must see him at 1week, 1month, 3months, 6months, 1yr. and then 1 time a yr for the rest of your life.rnrnRisks of Surgery- Honest and up front about the risks, he doesn't lie or sugar coat it.rnrnRate Him- So far a 9, would be a 10 if I wouldnt have felt so hurried at office visits.rnrnWhich is better- To me they are both extremely important!!! It must be both. If you dont feel comfortable with him it dosen't matter how good he is !! rnrnWOULD I RECOMMEND HIM?rnYES, TO EVERYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN HAVING SURGERY OR JUST WANTING INFO ON THE SURGERY!!
