So far I love Dr. Giovanni. I have had no problems with the office staff in fact Cheryl that does the insurance end of it could not do enough to help. When I finally got done with all my testing she put the paperwork in, and the insurance company was going to refuse it. She called and did what we had to get done done. I have my surgery date for wednesday the 25th of January. I am a bit nervous but she put me at ease, so looking forward to start my new journey with my new tool!!

She did an amazing job and I didn't have any complications.
She has excellent bed side manner. And makes you feel at ease. She doesn't rush you out of any appointments, answers any and all questions. She really wants you to go to post-op meetings.
Her office staff is iffy. At one location the woman there is great and nice and goes above and beyond to help at the other office they seem a little rough around the edges and kind of push you along so I would recommend going to the 1524 Atwood Ave location rather then the 1539 Atwood Ave location.
Trust me, you'll love her!
I think Dr.G is great,she made sure I had all the infomation,very kind and what I liked most of all was she never makes you feel rushed when in her office.
She has both bedside manners and competence!
I am glad I made the choice to go with her.
Her staff is also wonderful, Carol is so nice she took her time to listen to me and she answered all my questions when I needed some advice about the way I was eating,well...not eating.
Dr. Giovanni preformed my surgery on sept. 29,2009. i'm very happy that i choose her as my surgeon. while i was in the hospital she came to see me everyday. she is very friendly and knowledgeable. i would recommend her. one of the reason i picked her was because she was young and seem to know what she was talking about at the seminar, that all of her patients need to attend. she is straight to the point and easy to talk too.:)
Dr. Giovanni was so kind and caring but also very knowledgable! She was a bit rushed during my first couple of appointments but spoke with me before my surgery, after my surgery and I saw her every day while in the hospital! rnShe really pushes me to keep my protein intake up and my fluids up, too! She's happy with my weight loss (however slow I feel it is) and she's very impressed with my hospital walking!rnHer aftercare program is support groups and she is very involved in them. rnAny and all questions were answered and she made me feel very comfortable! I'd recommend her to anyone!
My surgeon is very knowledgable and completely down to business. She doesn't play games and is very clear with her expectations of what you need to do as patient. I like her a lot, though she might come out as intimidating she is just doing her job. Her office staff is ok, they could be better, but I 've experienced that at other medical offices as well. Dr. Giovanni has a very structure program that you must follow in orer to be successful. She also addressed all the risks including pros and cons for me for my particlar condition.
Very Smart Doctor. She went through all my previous history problems and recommendations. The Office itself is a very office and takes acouple of days to get back to you. but understandable with all the patients they have. I have had 2 appointments and now have a date. It seems to take along time to have the procedure. My date was for 2 months. Just want to get it done.
I absolutely loved her!!! I would refer her to anyone. She was very informative, she knows what she is talking about.
My 1st impresion of Dr. G was that she was young, energetic and a great listener, you could tell she was a little tough and I knew she wasn't going to take any excuses why we eat and gain the weight due to \"Holidays, Birthdays etc....\" I could tell this was the Dr. for me.rnDr. G's office staff has been great so far only 1 visit. rnrnOk update, the staff of Dr. G's is horrible, they never call you back when they say they will, so I call them back and feel like I am bothering them... They did not have the protein shakes at the office I went to and had to hurry across the Street to get my supply before the office closed...I hope to God these people are helpful if I call with a problem after surgery, if not I'll be in big trouble...
