I couldn't be happier with my surgery of with my doctor.

DR. SYN is a very professional and considerate individual. And his staff: I could never say enough nice stuff about them! Chad, you are AWESOME! They actually dont look at you like you are a ugly nasty fat chick when you walk in! They see you are a human in need of help and they are so polite and professional! Wonderful people! No matter how much good I say about DR. SYN and his staff, it would not do them justice! His aftercare program is precise and he really does care and encourage you to do as he suggests for total success! As with all surgery there are risks, no matter how minor or major. DR. SYN was wonderful in giving the exact course of action and explained everything in great detail. OVERALL, ON A SCALE OF 1-10, I RATE DR. SYN AND HIS STAFF AT LEAST A 15!!!!! Of surgerical competence and bedside manor, both are vitally important! I WAS JUST LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND DOCTOR WHO HAS BOTH!!!!rnrnI HAVE NOTHING negative to say about Dr. Syn or his staff. You would have to be a patient of his to understand :)

My surgeon is wonderful!! He is not one of those tell you what you want to hear people, which I think is important when you are at the stage of overweight that I was. I never doubted that he knew what he was doing, and never felt scared that things wouldn't turn out right. I would recommend him to anyone. As for his staff, they are FANTASTIC!!

I was very impressed at our initial consultation, I liked that we met with the Nutritionist and she let us know what the Dr. would expect of us before and after our surgery. I like the entire office staff they have been there for my every question. I would strongly urge anyone in the Lubbock area to meet with Dr. Syn and his staff. He did let us know the mortality rate, I was calmed by his openess and his positive attitude. He has a structured aftercare program which is probably why he has a good success rate. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best I would give Dr. Syn a 100. He is a very compasionate man.

Dr. Syn was great, he explained what he expected of me and what he would do for me. rnI was very impressed fro the first time we met and my confidence in him just got better with my surgery. I was very impressed with him and the hospital as well as his staff. They are all wonderful and very helpful.rnHe addressed the risks i would be taking with and without the surgery.rnHe is very honest and up front. He expects you to follow what he and his staff tell you to do. Do it and you will do well. Don't and you will be on the phone to him. He told us he would laugh because we didn;t do what he told us to do. That is enough to make you do what your told!rnI think he is great. And no one I have met has ever said a bad thing about him. they all loved him!

My friend had surgery with Dr Syn and she really liked him and referred me to him. I am more and more thankful for having met him each day. He has the most awesome office staff and they go out of there way to help you in anyway they can. He is the best in the business. He tells you right upfront that unless you make a life long commitment he doesn't want you to waste his time. Very structured program, I am still seeing him every 3 months because I am still losing weight and I am almost 17 months post op. Dr really enforces the risks associated with the surgery and not following his protocol. He is the best in the world and I would have surgery again in a heartbeat. This man has changed my life for the better and I will always be grateful. I work for a medical group and with alot of Dr's but he has a beside that is like no other doctor I have ever worked with since the early 90's.

I hold the highest esteem and respect for Dr Syn. He has saved my wife and my lives, or at the very minimum extended them many years to spend together and to be here for our children. He is very professional and and at first tries to uphold that sterile doctor - patient relationship however after he has operated on you, and attend all his required followup appointments as well as optional support group meetings, another side of him emergers and he softens alot. He has expressed there is nothing else he would rather be doing. It is clear that he has a passion for his pratice, his work and more importantly towards his patients. He pledges that once he operates on you, you are his patient for life. He wants to continue to follow your progress for many many years. How many other doctors do you know who have this sort of commitment towards their patients? His office staff are equally wonderful and personable. From his dietician, his Nurse, his office manager, the person who specializes on getting insurance approvals to the receptionist. You always feel welcome when you visit his beautiful office. And then there are the large number of wonderful post-op patients who go out of their way to offer their support to you as a new patient yourself. Who better to help guide you then those who have experienced the same things as you. This includes his nurse who herself was a revision patient. I can not say enough good things about Dr Syn or his practice.

DR. DAVID SYN IS THE BEST!! HE IS A VERY DIRECT BUT CARING SURGEON. HE TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHAT TO EXPECT AND THAT THIS IS NOT A MIRACLE CURE--THE SUCCESS DEPENDS ON YOUR COMPLIANCE. THE DAY OF MY SURGERY WHEN I WAS SCARED TO DEATH--WONDERING WHAT THE HECK I HAD GOTTEN MYSELF INTO..... I WAS IN THE OPERATING ROOM & EVERYONE WAS PREPARING & WAITING FOR THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST SO WE COULD BEGIN. THE TEAM WAS SETTING UP INSTRUMENTS---MANY MANY INSTRUMENTS--AND I WAS FLAT ON MY BACK WITH MY ARMS STRETCHED OUT LIKE THE CRUCIFIED CHRIST. I LOOK OVER IN THE CORNER AND THERE IS DR SYN-LOOKING OVER MY CHART--I ASSUME--LAST MINUTE DOUBLE CHECKS--AND THEN HE WALKS OVER TO ME--REACHES OUT--HOLDS MY HAND--AND TELLS ME EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT!! HIS EYES TWINKLED AND WINKED AN ASSURANCE I HAVE NEVER FELT BEFORE FROM ANY OTHER PROFESSIONAL CARE TAKER!!....AND I WAS ALL RIGHT, AND I CONTINUE TO BE UNDER HIS CARE TO THE NEW ME!!

I am very happy that I chose Dr. Syn for this life altering experience. From the first consultation forward he has been honest, supportive, informative and very approachable. I love that I am totally comfortable asking him anything and know that he will give me an honest response. His staff is incredible and very willing to help. A couple of times in the first week post-op I called with what I thought might be considered a 'silly' question and they were so sweet to me and assured me that any concerns I should call them. Dr. Syn has an incredible support network in place for post-op and I have relied on that so many times. His surgical competence and bedside manner are aces in my book.

I really liked Dr Syn. He tells you like it is. Which is great. He has such a wonderful staff and they try to help you out with what ever you need. Thank you so much to Dr Syn and his staff for helping me change my life for the best.
