T. Paul Singh, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
I was impressed with Dr. Singh from the start and it got only better over time. The Albany Med bariatric staff have been great!!! They've been more than willing to assist with anything I needed. ie. insurance issues, paperwork for my employer etc.rnrn Overall, Dr Singh's confidence and demeanor have been most reassuring, especially when it was getting closer to my surgery date and during my hospital stay.rnrn rnrn
I thought he was so mean at first. He tried to talk me out of the surgery the whole time and made me feel stupid. That shows hes doing his job right!! I mean what surgeon tries to talk you OUT of the surgery?? He made me cry.. I thought he was going to say no I dont need it...or he wouldnt perform on me... but he didnt and after me being adamant and saying I would still like to get this done.. He gave me a date.. Just like everyone says here HE DOES NOT HOLD YOUR HAND!! he tries to talk you out of the surgery... His phone rang about 3x but he never answered... He told me to ask all the questions I wanted.. I dont like his personality but I know he does his job right and is a very busy man.. I got my date and im ready for this!!

dr SINGHrnwas very pleasant answered all questions and always asked you if you had any questions him and his staff were awesome hes very careing about his patients i would recamend him to other people
I think my surgeon was awesome, he takes therntime to explain everything to you. The office staff is amazing also, If you call there everyone goes above and beyond to help you with anything that might be going on. Dr. Singh will stree to you that this is simply a tool and that you need to make full lifetime changes in order to suceed with you surgery. He stresses the importance of exercise and control. If I had to rate Dr. Singh from a 1 - 10, I would give him a 10.
I have no complaints about Dr. Singh. He was great!
My surgeon was very careing and understandin, I really liked him from day one. The medical staff was fantastic. Over all I really enjoyed my surgeon and the whole prosses, he is both competente and has a great bed side manner.
I have only met with Dr Singh once for preliminary discussion. I do have an upper endoscopy scheduled for 6/26/07, which he will be preforming.rn I have heard many good things about him and have confidence in his skills.rnrn 4/10/08:rn Dr. Singh has been excellent! As have the staff at Albany Medical Center where I had my surgery! I also can't say enough good things about Dr. Sharon Alger, my nutritionist. All excellent and professional people! rnrnThanks!
Dr. Singh is a highly compentent surgeon. Not a hand holder or 'touchy feely' but not that classic 'surgeon' arrogance either -- I think he's task focused and eager for his patience to recover promptly and properly. His new associate (think Dr. Bettina Byrd) is more engaging but still no-nonsense. After watching them 'behind the scenes' a couple times I truly think they care deeply for their patients and their work.
I met with Dr. Singh for the first time in May of 2007. He was very matter of fact, and honest. Some people may be put off by his matter of fact manner, but I appreciated it. I think what I liked most about him is when he asked if I had questions, and I said \"I have a million!\" he told me to ask them...all! I didn't feel rushed (even though it was after 5) and he made sure I understood everything. I am excited to get to know him and his staff better during this process.
