My first impression of Dr Fox was great. He came to Fbnks and talked to us. My impression didnt change over time.
His office staff is wonderful. I dont have anything that I like least about him. He has high hopes for all of his patients and has a great positive attitude.
he stresses aftercare more than anything else. he has a very structured aftercare program for life!
He tells the risks in a seminar as well as making them clear in office visits as well.
I would give Dr Fox a 10 as of right now, I am only a week and a half post op but so far all is well. Both surgical competence is great and his bedside manner is better than great!!!!

I thought he was great. The staff was easy to work with and his assistant surgeons were really cool as well.
The bedside manner was fantastic, so positive and reassuring...really made me feel like I was doing the right thing and was in good hands.

i meet Dr. Fox at the seminar. i tought he was really great. he made me feel like it wasn't my fault i'm overweight. which it's not! i felt relaxed and at ease. it was very informative. i felt he did explain the risks of surgery. this is major surgery, and with anything there can be risks.
the only thing i have a problem with, is that there are a couple people at the office that aren't very nice....very short and curt. but i don't let it bother me anymore, i know they are busy with alot of things.

very knowldgeaable, a kind man I am not sure if he will do my surgery i'm still looking I want to have an adjustable band, possible a non adjustable. One thing iam sure of is that iwill have surgery,not sure who or where yet.Im thinking of a close to home,but its not the most important factor, finding the right Dr and aftercare is my main concern. possible payment plan is most desireable. Cost is a factor if insurance and payment plan is not available.

The seminar that he and his staff present is very informative and comfortable. Perhaps it is because the subject matter so interests me that it just flew by <lol> but it was a quick 4 hours. If anybody leaves there without ALL their questions answered it would surprise me, very thorough about the various procedures available, the pros and cons of each, the importance of understanding not only what one can expect from the doctors and staff..but what is expected from the patient as well. I hope his surgical competence is what it seems to be because he will be doing MY surgery next month..<G>

I felt Dr. Ross was very kind and compassionate and an excellent surgeon. He took extremely good care of me. I also increased my respect for him over time, and realized the vast amount of knowlege he has.

His staff is very open and supportive of your health and your weight loss.

Patients should feel very comfortable with Dr. Fox and trust him. He KNOWS what he is doing. I would do this all over again if I had to! He keeps on top of your pain and knows what helps.....WALKING!

His aftercare program is very thorough and he monitors you extremely closely!!!

He was very open and very thorough in his explanations of the surgery, after care, diagrams, etc.

I would rate him EXTREMELY high. I thought his beside manner was extremely good, professional, kind compassionate. He truly puts you at ease!

I had a good first impression and that has not changed. The office staff knows what it is going to take to get approved by an insurance company (if you have a chance to begin with) and make sure you do what needs to be done before submitting the paperwork. The office staff also is really good at remembering you and are very attentive.

They are sticklers for aftercare, which I think is good, and have a very structured aftercare program. The surgeon is upfront about the risks.

3/2/01 I have only met him at his seminar on 2/28/01. At first something about him rubbed me the wrong way - it was more than just how can this skinny man know anything about my problems? He just seemed like he was TOO caring and compassionate, ie, fake. But the more I listened to him, the more I liked him. He absolutely has a comprehensive knowledge of the information and I like the idea that obesity surgery is all his clinic does. I'll keep up to date - I just sent my beginning paperwork packet out yesterday. I am so impatient!

IN 1976 I WAS IN TERRIBLE CONDITION WITH COMORBIDITY
COMPLICATIONS. DR FOX WAS RECOMMENDED BY MY FAMILY DR.
WHAT A LIFE SAVER HE WAS. EVEN BACK THEN HE
WAS ADAMENT ABOUT VITAMINS AND FOLLOW UP. HE
GAVE SUCH A FEELING OF HOPE. LOST DOWN TO 185
THEN LEVELED OUT AROUND 225 FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
OVER THE YEARS I LOST CONTACT WITH HIS OFFCIE
STILL STAYED ON THE VITAMINS. BUT DROPPED THE
FOLLOW UP VISTITS.
HIS OFFICE STAFF BACK THEN AND NOW ARE UP TO
DATE WITH WHAT'S GOING ON AND VERY VERY FRIENDLY
THE THING I LIKED BEST OF DR FOX WAS HIS CONFIDENCE
IN THE SURGERY. AND HIS WARM BED SIDE MANNERS
COMES IN SITS DOWN AND MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE
YOU'R HIS ONLY PATIANT.
HIS AFTER CARE PROGRAM IS VERY PERFESIONAL AND
ORGANIZED. EVERYTHING IN WRITING SO YOU CAN
GO OVER IT LATER AND CALL THE OFFICE IF THERE ARE ANY
QUESTIONS.
AS FOR THE RISKS OF SURGERY, HE WAS VERY UP FRONT
I WAS VERY HIGH RISK, DUE TO PREVIOUS SURGERYS
AND MY WEIGHT.
THE WORST THING ABOUT HIS OFFICE IS HE'S 3 PLUS HOURS
AWAY. BUT WORTH THE DRIVE.

I found his seminar to be extremely informative. I would like him to be my surgeon but he is not on the list. his office staff and advocate's are so understanding and helpful. He has a plan to address aftercare by saying after surgury you become part of the family. When I asked the staff for referrals when I found my insurance did not cover him did not have much to say or assistance.
