Surgical Association of Mobile, P.A. Bariatric Center
Dr. Weinstein was absolutely down-to-earth, he made me feel so comfortable.....like I had made the right choice. His office staff was great, they never seemed to mind answering all of my questions. The next day, I called back to ask one of the questions, that I know they had answered the day before, but they very graciously answered it again and assured me to call if I had any more questions. Many people that I have talked to in the Mobile area, have told me that if you are considering Gastric Bypass that Dr. Weinstein is the best!! His group also has a structured program called \"Begin\" that you must complete, once you have been approved, before you have your surgery scheduled. Dr. Weinstein also seems to have a very pleasant bedside manner and that is always a plus in my book.
I really liked Dr. Lane. He was very personable and explained the procedure to me. I'm a science teacher so I knew alot of anatomy already. So he explained it to me without talking down to me. He told me I was a very good candidate for the surgery. His office was very helpful with filing all the paper work. I have to take a test and go through a program before I will be scheduled for surgery. He went over all the risks of surgery. He explained the risk of death of the surgery but he also explained the risk of staying obese. He has a structured aftercare program set-up in which he instructs what to eat and when to eat. I would highly recommend him to other people.
I met Dr. Lane today. Unfortunately I had to change surgeons. He was very informative and did not beat around the bush. He made sure he went over everything even if I already new it. He set me up right away for surgery. I am praying for Dr Thomas to have a speedy recovery.
I went to see the doctor five years ago about the surgery and he was nice then. I think he and his staff are very professional and caring.
He has the reputation of being the best in the city of Mobile and that is why I chose him. I got his name from another physician who is a personal friend.
His aftercare progrma is only somewhat structured.
THe only thing I did not like at first was seeing the physician's assistant but I got over it. But when I said something they offered immediately to get the doc.
Overall, I would highly recommend him.
I love Dr. Hannon and am so glad I chose him to be my surgeon. He is so great and I have complete confidence in him.
My first impression of Dr. Hannon was a good one in that I was very nervous about the surgery and I was put at ease when I seen Dr. Hannon on a Christian program. I felt good knowing that he was a Christian and probably had the same beliefs in God. I say that because not all Christians share the same beliefs. What was even better was that when I chicken out of my first surgery appointment I wanted to speak with Dr. Hannon over the phone to ask additional questions. And because I had difficulty getting around at that time. And the receptionist tld me that I would have to come in again instead of speaking to him over the phone. However, Dr. Hannon's nurse called me when I left a very upsetting message on his voice mail expressing my disappointment that he couldn't call me. But the nurse assured me that he could call me and he did. And that made me feel so good to know that e took tme out of his busy schedule to call me.
His office staff at first was a little cold to me. But over tme they became friendly. I realize that I was very sensitive at that time so I may have been over-reacting.
Dr. Hannon is a very friendly and compassionate doctor. I felt secure in his hands.
Future patients should know that Dr. Hannon wants to help his patients.
I think I get adequate after care however, for me, it still is not enough. I basically want someone to hold my hand through this journey.
The after care program with Dr. Hannon is through the hospital. And I think it is a structured after program.
Dr. Hannon and his group and other doctors involved in my care were very blunt about the worse case senario.
I would rate the overall experience a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10.
I feel that surgical competence as well as a good bedside manner are very important.
Very professional, likable and informed.
No, continue to be very comfortable. They were very cordial and helpful.
I have always been treated with respect and care.
He always pushed for time.
Talk to him and ask questions. He's great about anwsering all your concerns.
Has scheduled many appointments and expects you to follow through.
Suggests you join a Support Group.
Gave all information good and bad.
He's a 10 all the way.
His bedside is good but the surgical is the greatest. That is the reason I chose him!
