First impression was good.rnImpression got even better.rnStaff was professional.rnDr. Rincon was very business like and confident in his abilities.rnHe and his partner run a very good organization.rnThey have a structured pre op and post op care program.rnThe organization explained all the risks twice.rnI would rate him and his organization very highly.rnVery good surgical competence and bedside manner.rnrnOnly negatives were very minor. Whole group scores well.

I loved the office staff and I thought Dr. Rincon was very handsome and has a great sense of humor. He's very funny but means business about getting you to lose weight. I like this because I don't want to be babied about this process. WLS is serious business and I appreciate his candor. When I had my Upper GI the day after surgery the attending physician told Dr. Rincon that my XRays should be used to model his surgical skill because they were picture perfect. That was pretty reassuring. Now hopefully my weightloss will be picture perfect as well!
I would definately recommend the Wish Center to anyone considering WLS, especially if you are having to pay cash like I did. It was definately a competitive price for the lap-band without having to go to Mexico.

He was nice and very business oriented. I went with him because of the price and experience.
After the surgery, I felt like I was no longer important to the staff or my surgeon. But, due to their heavy volume of individuals wanting surgery, they have returned my calls and eased some fears.
I do feel like the staff was helpful and supportive.
These are purely my opinions and someone else may have a better experience.

He was a no none sense type of guy but had a good sense of humor.
No, he is just a great guy. Very to the point and is willing to listen to what you have to say or what your concerns might be about your health.
The staff at the Wish Center is just EXCELLENT!
There is really nothing negative/least that I liked about him. He is very straight forward and I really did appreciate this trait about him.
Future patients should understand he is threre to change their lives and he will not be a "hand holder" but a person who will demand lots from his clients.
Aftercare is stress throughtout the process and there is a structured program that is the BEST IN THE BUSINESS.
I was given all the facts about the risk of the surgery and ALL my questions and concerns were addressed/answered in full and the informaion was on a level anyone could understand.
My rating of Dr. Rincon is OUTSTANDING as a surgeon and his bedside manner is what anyone makes of the situation... he can be hard to take at times but I would not have changed anything about my surgery or the aftercare from him. He is the best hands down!

I was kinda scared at first because he was blunt and to the point.
After a while he became more understandable.
His ofc staff is great. I called over there I think about a hundred times and they are so patient with me.
The only thing that was hard for me to get used to was his acent.
Dr. Rincon stresses after care more then I can say.
Overall I would have to say I truely would recomend Dr. Rincon to any one. He is kind and shows much concern to your needs and at the same time is down to the point.

my first impression of him was that he was a very dry person.
my impression of him changed when i was in the hospital and he showed me that he did have a sense of humor.
his office staff is very friendly and helpful.
nothing.
he knows his job.
he puts a big emphasize on it.
yes he does.
yes he addresses the risk of surgery.
I would rate him as a very qualified and professional surgeon.
surgical competence but good bedside manners help.

Dr. Rincon, was my surgeon,he is new to San Antonio,he is located at the Wish Center Newly Opened here in San Antonio. My first Impression of him was a very pleasant one. Of course with all that I went throught with the insurance I was lucky to be able to have surgery within a few days after being reapproved. My I met Dr. Rincon the day of my surgery, I was very happy with him he reassured me, Even though i knoew every thing would be alright. He also reassured my mom and family and friends that were thier waiting for me. He Knows what he is talking about and has assured me. That this is the best thing for me. His office staff was very kind and warming, the made me feel like I was someone special. Even though after a long 6 hour hour appt. I was made to feel comfortable. What future patients should know about him is:
that they are in the best hands you can ask for. He funny, Serious about his work and means business when it comes to making your life healthlier. I love him for what he has helped me with.
Remember the WISH Center stands for:
Weight Intervention And Surgical Healthcare Center.

My first impression of Dr. Jorge Rincon was very good he was funny like me but very serious about what was in store for me. The Wish Center was very friendly and informative. I did not have a negative word to say about Dr. Jorge and his staff. If you are a future patient of Dr.Rincon I feel you will be pleased. Dr. Rincon and his staff stress pre and post OP instructions and logs that have to be completed with a psychiatric review before Surgery, and a complete after care instructions. I rate Dr. Rincon a 10 but if he manes me in Surgery a 0. I believe a Doctor with great surgical competence and bedside manner.
The Wish Center you know the one advertised by Carnie Wilson. The Wish Center has taken this almost to a one stop pound drop center. The first you attend a detailed seminar on Gastric Bypass and if this is something you want to do you attend a consultation. The first Consultation be prepared to be there 5-6 hours and bring a sandwich they know Big People get hungry and they don’t have no snacks up in there, but any way you meet with a Psychiatrist, dietician, fitness trainer and the doctor all in one day oh yea and the Money Guy to discuss how you going to be paying. The Wish Center makes you feel at ease oversized chairs when I sat down I thought hell if every one made things this comfortable in the real world I would not need the Surgery. So I would recommend The Wish Center a Hospital that specializes in Gastric Bypass. The Wish Center has a lower mortality rate than any other center and I believe it is because the prepare you Pre and Post OP. The one thing I did hate about the Wish Center was the lenghth of time I feel they may schedule to many patients for the consultations one time I was waiting alone almost an hour.

Sorry, I had the wrong surgeon on my Page. Dr. Rincon is my surgeon with the wish center. I feel confident that he will handle things well.
The center says he's getting married just after my surgery. Congratulations to Dr. Rincon.
I will see him one last time before surgery on 6/24. I missed my xray and we will be going over them right then. I plan on having no more problems. Surgery is 6/26. I am ready.

My husband worked with Dr. Jeffrey Rosen of the Wish Center for his 3/3/04 surgery. Doctor Rosen is thorough, with a humorous side. He is easy to get along with and has a good bedside (in my opinion), but my husband was a little mad at him for not taking out the breathing tube when he woke up. My dad will be seeing him 6/23/04
