Surgeon: Dr. Kenneth Bryce, Garland, Texas

Very personable and professional

It remained the same.

Helpful and caring.

Too busy - little time to spend with patients.
Excellent care and follow through.

He required it or would not perform the surgery.
Yes.

Lots of legal waivers - lots and lots.

10 out of 10

Both were great - he treats his patients like human beings which is very rare.

Dr. Bryce is a really wonderful doctor. He and his staff are very efficient, and are extremely caring. They were informative and straightforward about what I can expect from my WLS.

I have met with Dr. Bryce and have met everyone at Pathways. His nurse pat is great. Pat handles insurance and also any questions you have about the surgery. Pat is excellent to answer questions because she was Dr. Bryce's first patient years ago.

Note: Changed doctors from Dr. H to Dr. Bryce.

My wife has spoke with Leo several times. I am waiting for an appointment. Have already been approved for the surgery. My wife is still waiting for her information. I will actually meet Dr. Horrilleno on May 12th. He is having a seminar in Dallas for patients.

I have only met with Dr. Bryce once. He was recommended by my PCP and also a co-worker. He seemed very efficient and willing to answer any and all questions. From what I have heard the hospital care under him is excellent. (I'll let you know.) His office staff is very caring but a little frazzled (they are so busy). I really did not spend very much time with him as all my questions were answered in his seminar.

Dr Bryce seems very nice and concerned about me, although very clinical. He has many years of experience as well.
His office staff are a nightmare. They seem to do absolutley nothing to help things come together for you. Example: I had to have my Doctors fax test results to them. The fax did not come through all the way so instead of calling my doctor or me, they did nothing for 2 weeks until I called. They sent my letter to the insurance company for approval to the wrong address. They faxed it when my insurance does not accept faxes, They still mailed it to the wrong address even though I called and gave them the correct address. Finally the forth time it was sent correctly. They are nice just not at very helpful. It seemed to me that the office is such that the patient must stay on top of what is going on daily or pay the price. Over all they are nice people.

Dr Bryce was very nice and open about this surgery. He answered all my questions.

Office staff was always nice and concerned.

It will be a Dr Timothy Bray who will be taking care of me in the hospital not Dr Bryce. Dr Bray was Super. I had not realized that a different doctor would be taking care of me in hospital.

My impression of Dr.Bryce was wonderful, he is a very busy but caring doctor. I could not have asked for anyone any better. As time has passed, I still think he is great!!! His office staff is also great and very caring even to problems not related to this surgery. What I liked least about Dr. Bryce is also a good thing, he is TO busy! But that is good, cause it means he is good at what he does. Future patients should know to be patient with him and his time frame. His aftercare is wonderful, he knows I live a long way away from his office and he takes that into consideration when scheduling appointments. Yes the program Pathways that Dr.Bryce is associated with has an extensive aftercare program and the staff there is also wonderful people. He addressed all of my fears that was not covered in his seminar, which most were covered, except for the "me" questions. I rate Dr. Bryce excellent!!!His surgical competence and bedside manner are great! I am scared to death of hospitals, doctors, and especially being put to sleep, I was not nervous at all before surgery, but I felt totally prepared and ready for whatever was ahead for me. His whole surgical team was wonderful, they all work together on these surgeries, so they know each others ins and outs, if that makes sense.

I was very impressed with Dr.Bryce, he was the Dr. that went over the procedure at the required seminar. I did not know which procedure would be the best for me, he told us about other procedures that were being done, and I felt like this was the one for me. The office staff answered all of my questions that I had.I have met him only 2 times so far everything is a-ok,. My pre-op date is June 11. Theres not too much time left, it will be here befor you know it. I started this procedure in April 2001, I know have a date of June 18, 2001.I am still shocked.
